"Be good and for your birthday I'll buy you a motorcycle!"
"How on earth can you see the TV sitting so far back?"
"Don't bother wearing a jacket--it's quite warm out."
"Let me smell that shirt--yeah, it's good for another week."
"I think a cluttered bedroom is a sign of creativity."
"Yeah, I used to skip school, too."
"Just leave all the lights on...it makes the house more cheery."
"Could you turn the music up louder so I can enjoy it, too?"
"Run and bring me the scissors! Hurry!"
"Aw, just turn these undies inside out. No one will ever know."
"I don't have a tissue with me--just use your sleeve."
"Well, if Timmy's Mom says it's okay, that's good enough for me."
"Of course you should walk to school and back. What's the big deal about having to cross a few main streets?"
"My meeting won't be over till later tonight. You kids don't mind if we skip dinner?
After trying for hours to get my daughters to clean their room, I burst in and yelled,
“GET THIS ROOM CLEAN NOW, BEFORE I HAVE A COW!!!”
My youngest daughter (3 years old) looked at me with a very puzzled expression and said,
“You mean you’re going to get rid of us and have a cow instead?”
“Shoe Follow”
Two elderly women were trying on shoes in our store. When I slipped a shoe onto one woman’s foot, the end of my tie got caught beneath her heel.
Unaware of my predicament, she stood up and started toward the mirror. For a few seconds, I found myself crawling along the floor beside her, trying to get her attention.
“Look, Martha,” her friend said. “he wants to go home with you!”
Podiatrist’s Sign
In a Podiatrist’s office: “Time wounds all heels.”
“It doesn’t matter whether you win or lose, until you lose.”
“I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.”
~ C. S. Lewis
“A Good Job Done”
The farmer’s son was returning from the market with a crate of chickens his father had entrusted to him, when all of a sudden the box fell and broke open. Chickens scurried off in different directions, but the determined boy walked all over the neighborhood scooping up the wayward birds and returning them to the repaired crate. Hoping he had found them all, the boy reluctantly returned home, expecting the worst.
“Pa, the chickens got loose,” the boy confessed sadly, “but I managed to find all twelve of them.”
“Well, you done a good job, son,” the farmer beamed, “because you only left with seven.”
All great ones tonight, Dubya! Thanks!
AND, most likely true! LOL
Prayers it works!

Every year I do something special to celebrate the arrival of spring I buy ant traps. Those little invaders continually march into our kitchen in search of any crumb left on the floor. They arent picky; a shard of potato chip, a grain of rice, or even a speck of cheese will do.
Although ants may be a nuisance, Solomon praised them for their steadfast work ethic (Prov. 6:6-11). He pointed out that ants are self-directed. They have no captain, overseer, or ruler (v.7), yet they are very productive. The ants also keep busy even when its not immediately necessary, providing supplies in the summer and gathering food in the harvest (v.8). By the time winter arrives, theyre not worried about what they will eat. Little by little, these hard workers have saved up enough to sustain themselves.
We can learn from the ant. When God gives us times of plenty, we can prepare for times when resources may be low. God is the provider of all that we have, including our ability to work. We are to work diligently, be wise stewards of what He has provided, and then rest in the promise of His care (Matt. 6:25-34).
Lets remember Solomons advice: Go to the ant . . . . Con-sider her ways and be wise (Prov. 6:6).
Read: Proverbs 6:6-11
