Please pray for Freeper SandRat who took a fall from his roof today.
FR "DesertCoyote" posted this on the Canteen thread tonight...
I just wanted to let you guys know that SandRat is in the hospital. He fell off the roof changing out the pads in the swamp cooler and lost his footing and fell about 4-5 feet. Apparently he was unconscious for a while and when he woke up, he drove himself to the hospital. He has 8 broken ribs and a concussion. He is being transferred up to University Medical Center in Tucson for a Neurology evaluation. Will keep you guys posted since this is a specific request from Sandrat.
Thank you everyone...
Ouch !

2 and 1/2 Men line:
“Why didn’t you call the guy?”
Thank you for the safety reminder.
SandRat, you have my heartfelt prayers. I KNOW you will be home soon. But, please, stay off the roof. There’s someone, somewhere, that could use a few bucks that will be more than happy to take care of that kind of stuff. Here’s a very gentle hug (don’t want to hurt those healing ribs).
Prayers and Blessings from our family!
Prayers for Sandrat.
What is a swamp cooler?
Thanks for the notice. Best to SandRat.
Prayers going up for SandRat.
God help SandRat!
Hope you will be well!
Prayers up!
Be healed in Jesus Name! Prayers for your full recovery.
An evaporative cooler (also swamp cooler, desert cooler, and wet air cooler) is a device that cools air through the simple evaporation of water. Evaporative cooling differs from air conditioning by refrigeration and absorptive refrigeration, which use vapor-compression or absorption refrigeration cycles. In the United States, the use of the term swamp cooler may be due to the odor of algae produced by early units.[1] Air washers and wet cooling towers use the same principles as evaporative coolers but are optimized for purposes other than cooling the air inside a building. For example, an evaporative cooler may be designed to cool coils of a large air conditioning system to increase its efficiency.
Evaporative cooling is especially well suited for climates where the air is hot and humidity is low. In the United States, the western/mountain states are good locations, with evaporative coolers prevalent in cities like Denver, Salt Lake City, Albuquerque, El Paso, Tucson, Phoenix, and Fresno where sufficient water is available. Evaporative air conditioning is also popular and well-suited to the southern (temperate) part of Australia. In dry, arid climates, the installation and operating cost of an evaporative cooler can be much lower than that of refrigerative air conditioning, often by 80% or so. However, evaporative cooling and vapor-compression air conditioning are sometimes used in combination to yield optimal cooling results. Some evaporative coolers may also serve as humidifiers in the heating season.
Everybody here, make a $5 donation to FR on behalf of SandRat so we can get this ‘thon over the hump....
Lord be with him, give him peace and comfort and complete and total healing, no permanent damage and quick recovery, in Jesus Holy name, Amen!!!
Thanks BG for letting us know about SandRat. One tough guy to fall, break that number of ribs, come out of unconcious condition, and drive himself to the hospital. Good for him.
Prayers up that one tough guy will make it to be around for a long time to come.
