The first tomb was dug up by road builders in the evening of April 1. The Vietnam Archaeology Institute has sent three experts to the site. Construction activities at this area have been canceled to serve urgent excavation. Shortly after that, the second tomb and the well were unearthed... The two tombs were built by terra-cotta bricks, with domes. Bricks have patterns and ancient characters... Dr. Nguyen Lan Cuong, from the Vietnam Archaeology Institute, said that the two tombs were built in the 4th or 6th centuries. The bigger tomb was built earlier than the small one. The tombs are in Chinese style, but the owners may be Vietnamese... The ancient well is located around 100m from the two tombs. The tombs look similar to tombs in the Thang Long Royal Citadel.

BTW Vietnamese graves are round now, and are usually used as the village toilet. The mounds provide some privacy.

I do.
The articles posted by Sunken Civ, Blam and a few others of the Gods, Graves and Glyphs crew are some of the most interesting items one could hope to find on the intarweb.

And by the way, some of us have a "sentimental attachment" to some of the items SC posts.
Maybe you're just having a bad hair day.

A little word of advice:
If you don't care about a topic, then do not click on the link. If you don't like
something you clicked on, leave the thread without snarky comments, n00b.

You will never have the high regard in which we hold SunkenCiv.

And you're going to need this:

sorry I do not care about north vietnam tombs. It appears you are confusing subject matter with the poster, which are 2 different things.

Do not FReepmail me.

You are confusing me with someone who cares about your preferences.

She was nice-lookin’ in her day. So for that matter was Ginger Rogers, back when she did the Busby Berkley movies. In fact, the main drive behind the time machine projects worldwide (past, present, and future) is probably to nail a bunch of historical hotties.
