The Burlington, MA, Mall was locked-down this morning after a patron screamed that there was a man carrying a rifle in the mall. Approximately 300 police and an undetermined number of local fire departments were dispatched to deal with the emergency. It was just announced that there was no gunman; just a shopper with an umbrella.
Even for the vicious, Liberal, anti-gunners in MA, this may be a record. Perhaps someone can sum-up the total $ cost in emergency services and lost business.
Man could have been carrrying a powerful high capacity assault umbrella.
This reminds me of the article not too long ago reporting a British man who had called the police because he found a .22 long rifle bullet laying in the street. It appears we aren’t too far behind them in this lunacy.
This is what happens when the populace is dumbed down by 50-60 years of Liberal anti-gun rhetoric and hysteia.

I think ol’ Steed carried a Swaine Adeney Brigg umbrella, or something similar. In 1976, I splurged on one of their “brollies” at their London shop. At the time the basic models were over US$100. However, I still have that umbrella after 35 years. When I was in London in 1991, they even made a few minor repairs for free.
Although no substitute for a firearm, the Brigg umbrella with its cherrywood shaft made a good weapon when some asshat tried to rob me in 2007.
Headline should read, “Utter Imbecile Shuts Down Mall After Hysterically Screaming ‘Gun!’ And Idiot Shoppers Overreact”

that is exactly what he carried, and how do I know. I am his mother and as this day goes on I am gettin more and more angry at the comments and judgements that have been made by these people. He is not muslim, he is not mexican, he is BARELY a man at 19 yrs old and all he was doing was picking up his new video game. give him credit for doing the right thing. did anyone think of how he felt, the embarassment, the humiliation??? No, they just keep judging and commenting, PROFILING him. He is an innocent kid from nebraska with no record of any kind. ANY umbrella can look like a rifle, guess we should outlaw them too............
