Just cancelled my subscription with Rush

I was looking for the "vanity" thing but could not find it. I hope I did not do anything wrong for Fr to post in this section.

The first 3 words of Rush show today were for Sarah "Fight like a girl" - so I was very excited to hear what Rush had to say about that beautiful teaparty and Sarah speech in Madison Wisconsin. I think that was so important for the symbolism of it - unions and stuff - courageous of her to go there - and I also think that Sarah was great and her speech surely deserved a good 10 minutes from Rush.

Well..I waited and waited through a long hour of so annoying tax stuff, a good 15 minutes about Trump...sick of it really..and then an almost full hour about global warming..and then around 2.30 I emailed Rush show and said that I will revoke my subscription if I don't hear about Sarah's speech in Madison at least for 10 minutes before the end of the show. Well, I did not expect them to be scared..ah..

And then, nothing at all about Sarah in Madison.

So I cancelled. I am not sure where Rush is going but frankly I find him very boring lately. Excusing the pitiful Gop after they caved on budget. Bizarre. Is he becoming a RINO? Something's up with Rush.

Sorry guys.

Your thoughts?

My rule of thumb is that if I agree with anyone 100% of the time, its a fair bet that they’re lying to me or I’m lying to myself.

First off -
Definition of UXORIOUS
: excessively fond of or submissive to a wife

Now, I do believe this to be true because he had the gay bob sing at his wedding. How can a gay bob sing about marital love?

But, to defend Rush, he has been spot on in calling out Obama for what he is and even lambasted the Boehner who is as much to blame for the S&P downgrade too!

I wouldn’t pay for any of these talkers shows etc. It just feeds their ego imo. Hannity is probably least stuck on himself of any of them.

I wonder if the it has sunk into the unioners that they have saved SP literally hundreds of thousands of dollars in ad prep costs??? That's right you idiots. Just keep making her campaign commercials.

By the time his show airs, I’ve already read the things he is highlighting.

That is it. With all the modern technology we're ahead of the game by the time he comes on in the afternoon. Throw into that mix FR where this stuff is discussed close to real time...and Rush's opinion is quickly becoming old news to the base. In fact, as this poster points out, he may or may not be hitting the priority of the day by the time his show airs.

Wait...let me understand this...

You tried to blackmail Rush? By withholding your subscription? ‘Cause he didn’t say what you wanted him to say?

At times I think his biggest issue is railing against raising taxes on the rich which would affect him personally.
I’m not for raising taxes on anyone, but this issue really gets extra long winded attention from Rush.

When Rush is up and on his game, there is no one like him. He SKEWERS libs and leaves them babbling and drooling. When he wants to, he makes big waves and I’m convinced that Clinton was held in check by him. But one thing in the recent past really ticked me off and is hard to get over.

After the 2006 election when the GOP was trounced, he feigned happiness that he did not have to carry water for the GOP anymore. He, seemingly had disagreed with Bush and the RINOs but had kept his mouth shut for the sake of the GOP.

That really steamed me.

Rush had been so effective against Clinton, he could have applied pressure on Bush and the RINOs in the same way and we might not have the Bush enviro regulations, No Child Left Behind, the Medicare Drug Plan (that before Obamacare was the largest entitlement program ever foisted on this country), and a menu of other “centrist” liberal policies.

Because he can be so damned good, it hurts twice as bad when he sits out, and then to confess that he had been “carrying water” for issues he did not agree with......Still pisses me off!!

Rush goes with flow of events and talks about whatever he wants to talk about

Exactly. Also, today being tax day I'm sure he already had today's message templated to focus on the issue of taxes. Sort of like his Capitalism vs Socialism his last day before his Thanksgiving break every year.

I was thinking earlier how everyone sang the praises of Andrew Breitbart. Then he came out big for the gays at CPAC. Well, then he was a dirtbag.....until he went to Wisconsin on Saturday and all the CPAC gay thing is forgotten with an “okay, nevermind”.

Geesh. Talk about crazy. Fair weather friends? Who knows?

Thanks for posting ... I ended up reading the transcript.

Less than 90 days after the election, in his State of the Union address, President Obama told us, nah, the era of big government is here to stay, and we're going to pay for it whether we want to or not. Instead of reducing spending, they're going to "Win The Future" by "investing" more of your hard-earned money in some cockamamie harebrained ideas like more solar shingles, more really fast trains - some things that venture capitalists will tell you are non-starters. We're flat broke, but he thinks these solar shingles and really fast trains will magically save us. So now he's shouting "all aboard" his bullet train to bankruptcy. "Win The Future"? W.T.F. is about right.

One tidbit from what had to be a speech that will long be remembered.

Men are traditionally the warriors of the human race, but there are women warriors. Palin is one.

Fight like a girl? I'm at a loss to get what that is. Any ideas? How does it differ from fighting like a boy? It's an honest question. I'm missing it.

“For a guy who says he doesn’t like to talk about himself,”

The most boring thing is when he talks about his golfing on somebody’s golf show.

For those of us who don't enjoy golf (but do enjoy virtually every other sport) there is nothing more boring than someone talking about golf.

Have you ever written to Sarah Palin with your ideas of how to win such as for example my recommendation of what she should say in a speech?

Don't think for a moment they do not listen.

Back in 1999 many of us Bush supporters did just that. One of my suggestions back in ‘99 was that Bush open a 1-800 number for suggestions from the American people regarding what they wanted to see happen.

A few months later it happened! It may have been on for a year or so but the liberals finally started to spam it so badly that they finally closed it down. It was a good gimmick to sell at the moment. I can't say it was my email that was responsible for this and I'm sure others may have had the similar idea. Bush had also repeated some of “my” suggestions of statements to say that I had sent to him in emails too. Again, I cannot say it was my email or me that he listened too but he had said things word for word.

My explanation is we conservatives have common thinking and often think of the same ideas because of that. Because of that it's likely the 1-800 number idea and other statements Bush had said after my suggestions were coincidental. But, I cannot say that for certain.

Do NOT underestimate your power. They do listen.

Good Lord - This thread is funny - sorry, but you sound a bit like my whiney four year old. I am sure Rush was really scared about your threat.

I am not sure who you all have been listening to but Rush seems just as fiesty and prepared as he always has been to me. Let the man be. So he takes a few more vaca days than he used to. It could be worse - You could be listening to Mark Davis every day.
