Stay safe, Peggy!
I wonder who Geraldine is taking to the prom?
It’s on the way here. OKC really got hit! I’m praying Idol and the season finale of Glee go uninterrupted.
Huge finale crowd.
Seacrest asks Lauren about a rumor that she had lost her voice.
Lauren says she's fine. Her voice sounds okay.
Seacrest waves the Dr. onto the stage.
Official Idol Doctor: Lauren was really pushing it out (during rehearsal). Blew out one of her vocal chords. We gave her a lot of medicine. She's gonna do great. (audience cheers)
I am not watching the show but am dying to know if Lauren will be able to stay in the competition and what is up with her? Blown vocal cord, don’t know what that means. Will she still be there? Singing? Tell me.
The AI fiddler kind of skeeves me out. I think it’s the pants.
LAUREN BLEW A VOCAL CORD. She better take it easy or she’ll blow out the other one and be on injured reserve for months and months.
I can see them both headlining at WE-FEST next summer....(for the un-anointed, that is a HUGE country music fest in the lakes country of northern MN)
WHEW!!!!! Relieved for Lauren.
Thanks. OK, I will leave you now to enjoy the show. JEALOUS!! Have a fun thread.
(ON an up note...Im guessing haveing a blown vocal cord is far better than what Geraldine has had blown)
I see Ryan’s hand went a little lower the second time he touched Scotty..
Blowing out a vocal cord is bad because you sound like you’ve smoked your whole life and worse than that, your voice can cut out during a note. It just cuts out unexpectedly. It’s like listening to a speaker and the speaker cuts out. and it hurts. Nothing comes out basically. and it hurts.
I almost wonder if the vocal cord thing is a setup for sympathy votes. Scotty has the edge vocally IMO, but AI is itching for a female winner this time around.
Three rounds tonight, three songs each.
Scotty's choice is Montgomery Gentry's "Gone". Performs it just as well as before. Lots of Ferlie arms waving at the foot of the stage this time.
No critique by the judges for this one. Hm. Gotta keep things on schedule, I guess. (We already know what they'd say anyway)
I also like I don't have to type Randy saying "In it to win it!" for the billionth time.
HOTT
(yes, TWO t’s)
Happy late bday.
