Wow, I wonder if there is something wrong. Were people making mistakes and dialing the number based on the order they sang? Or was something wrong with the lines?

I just checked my text voting. I got confirmation that my votes for 01 were indeed for James. No mistakes there. I just can’t believe enough people voted for Haley over James. But everyone’s tastes are different.

What a trashy title. Like he held a knife to his baby’s throat, when in reality it was him as a child holding a knife to his own and brother’s throat. He has Aspergers. Until maturity, kids with it do all sorts of things because they can’t control their emotions and don’t have good filters yet on good behavior. I hate Star mag.

“Were people making mistakes and dialing the number based on the order they sang? Or was something wrong with the lines?”

I don’t know Yaelle. I do think that the change around in the order of the singers was very confusing to alot of people based on alot of comments I’ve read. Have they ever done such a thing before? I don’t remember that ever happening?? Why would they have done that?

But the “something wrong with the lines” comments were pervasive on page after page of numerous threads at American Idol.

As I stated before, I believe that for the last few years, these kinds of voting issues have increased dramatically, and the results show in many “favorites” getting thrown out very prematurely.

Yaelle, did you happen to vote for James on the 05 number? That seems to be where there was alot of issues reported with some getting no confirmations, others saying there was just dead air, others saying that they got confirmations for an 03 vote, etc. I haven’t sensed as many issues with 01 except complaints that people couldn’t get through for hours.

I didn’t use the phone numbers, just the text numbers. After you get the first text vote in, they respond with a text that says whom you voted for. I only used the 1 for James not the 5. With text voting you always get through, no busy signal. I voted a zillion times for him.

Lawrence didn’t fool around. Everyone he hired was white bread “younga people” except for Anna Cani who came up from Mexico.

Yeah, DD saved me and it was around Christmastime. That would have been a bad Christmas without me. I heard LA Airport is really lookin’ bad lately. It must be the budget cuts. My friend from here got delayed at LAX after all the tornadoes. She was afraid to sleep there waiting for a flight.

Dick Dale played the sax and clarinet and often did songs with The Lennon Sisters and often duets with Kathy Lennon. The Lennon sisters were pretty in person; not just tv makeup. Kathy Lennon was my favorite. I liked her voice and appearance.

” The lyrics to Iglesias’ songs were definitely x-rated. We use closed captioning, and I was shocked and disgusted by him. I guess most people can’t make out what he’s saying with all the loud background and other distractions.

This is supposed to be a family-oriented show?

The same goes for the lyrics sung/shouted/spoken by Tyler.

Enough already of this crap on AI!”

The definition of family has really changed, and AI is playing to that base.

Not much different than our political process.....

I use closed captioning too. I could hardly hear Iglesias’s tiny, mewling voice in addition to all that background in the foreground. It was unbelievable and crass.

I think the season is too long also. They should eliminate more each week and get on with it. The Thurs. night entertainment is just to push new CDs or concert tours, etc., in essence: advertisement.

And the judges J-Lo and Tyler are using the gig to push THEIR latest and greatest book or single or whatever....

They need real judges on the show.

Like DWTS the elimination show has turned into an old fashion variety show. I will say DWTS has much better brand name singers and the benefit of pro dancers but every now and then AI has some good ones too. Lady Gaga, not so much.

The only two singers who moved me this year were Pia and Jacob...Pia every time and Jacob with three performances early on.

I was impressed with Casey's musicianship, Lauren's stylistic maturity beyond her years and James' range, energy and stagecraft. I though Thia was too immature. I thought Naima was entertaining but her vocal abilities were marginal. Paul was interesting but he was just too darn pitchy. Stefano became confused by the judges' comments and lost his way. He might wind up as a Telemundo or Univision perennial heartthrob. Haley is an excellent singer in my book, but I think her Jill-of-all-styles approach is going to hurt her in the long run. Scotty is a star, but his singing does nothing for me emotionally.

I think Clint Gun Jamboa is a monstrous talent and I hope he rots in obscurity unless he makes a genuine apology for his treatment of that overweight kid. And Kendra Chantelle was robbed. She is a great singer with a unique style.

All my NSHO.

I'm pulling for Lauren and have been since Pia was eliminated.

Earlier today, it was announced what the American Idol final three will be singing based on the Judge’s choice.

http://www.realitytvcalendar.com/shows/ai-10/songs/jb12-p1.html

Haley will sing Alanis Morrisette’s gritty, “You Oughta Know.”

Lauren will sing Lee Ann Womack’s “I Hope You Dance.”

And Scotty will sing Kenny Roger’s “She Believes in Me.”

I do believe Scotty is going to be big in the country music genre. I just can’t stand country music, but I can appreciate that he will have a following.

Scotty does nothing for me either, but I do think he will be fairly big in country. I'm not really attached to any of the singers this season.

If any of judges are really thinking (that's a big IF) they will have him sing "Amarillo By Morning" by George Strait as his judges pick.
