I noticed Lauren swiped some of Haley’s moves for her second number “Trouble.”
Scotty is a riot...he has that down home manner and a gentle sense of humor. Reminds me of my three grandsons down in Tennessee.
He also reminds me of the very young Andy Griffith, the very young James Dean, and just a smidgin of the very young Elvis.
He will go far regardless of how the competition turns out.

I just watched Jordin Sparks version of I Who Have Nothing on youtube. The girl could sing. Big powerful voice and the thing about Jordin as opposed to Haley is that Jordin knew how to tell a story. I remember that girl pouring her heart and soul into a few of her performances. The raw emotion. She FELT the music. That is the mark of a good performer.
Agree. Jordin Sparks had heart. She was about as young as Lauren, sweet as could be, and did put her real self into her performances. Haley is not as genuine as she needs to be. That look on her face when she gets criticism is not sadness; it’s some kind of resentment. It’s weird. I just don’t get a bead on a “real” Haley, like you can on the other 3 contestants, who are what they seem to be.
That's not what some people say.
I personally can't warm up to Haley either. She's all about herself and doing what it takes to win; JMHO. Maybe kids don't see it as much as older people do. I tend to not enjoy the singing of people who don't feel the music and/or haven't lived what they're singing about.
They all have good voices. They might have benefitted more from living an unsheltered life and having some real world experiences instead of lessons on how to sound and act like idols. I'm not sure I'd by any of this year's CDs or go to their concerts.
