” Anyway!!! Who do you like of the idols??”
James, Scotty, Lauren.
To me one of them will win it.
Yes.
Do you know what “agree to disagree” means?
Stop the name calling and bullying on this thread. Most here don't agree with you, and most here don't want to be told what to think.
Have a nice day....this is my last post to you regarding this issue.
You are correct. Robot is a good term for how Pia performed on stage.

Fans of American Idol are still buzzing this weekend after the shocking exit of Pia Toscano. Nigel Lythgoe made some recent comments about the singer’s exit this week at the Las Vegas auditions for So You Think You Can Dance, which will return to Fox as soon as this season of Idol wraps up.
Lythgoe said the following during an interview at the event, according to MJ’s Big Blog: “I know the [voting] results, so I know she was never a frontrunner The fact of the matter is, it appears that Pia didnt connect with the audience the way we maybe think she did.”
Something had to happen for Pia Toscano to go home. With rumors of a voting glitch and the possibility that she just didn’t grab the audience as much as everyone thought she did, anything could possibly explain her exit. However, Nigel Lythgoe did hint that something might need to change at American Idol to avoid these shocking eliminations in the future.
Nigel said the following: “Maybe if we change the rules next season, maybe do the same thing we do on So You Think You Can Dance .so that America votes for the bottom three, and then the judges decide who goes home .I think that will be thought about.”
If such a change was to be made, Simon Fuller would have to put it in place. While Nigel Lythgoe helps run things behind the scenes, he is not the man in charge at Idol like he is at So You Think You Can Dance. The judges making the final decision at Idol would be different, but it would make things more consistent. There would be no need for the save each season. The bottom three would still be chosen by the viewing public, but the judges would have final say.
It could be a welcomed change, but there is no way to know if it will happen or not. What do you think? Should the judges have control over the elimination each week? With judge reaction, there is no way Pia Toscano would have gone home this week. Who would have gone home in her place then - Stefano Langone or Jacob Lusk?
'American Idol': Jessica Alba shows support for Pia Toscano - Record deal set
People are still talking about the exit of Pia Toscano on Thursday's American Idol, which airs on Channel 10 in Tempe. Many were shocked to see the singer go home. One actress, Jessica Alba, took to her Twitter account to show her support for the eliminated singer. She tweeted the following:
"Who's mad about Pia? I think she's got a promising career ahead of her. Girl can sing her butt off and she's stunning."
The elimination of Pia Toscano has people talking, but no one should worry too much that they will never see the singer again. News has it that the singer has already been signed to a record deal with Interscope Records. The record company talked to Pia immediately following her elimination on Thursday, and Interscope went to work on her album on Friday morning.
Us Magazine is reporting that the company is putting a rush on the deal. Pia Toscano is not fading into the shadows as some might suspect after an early elimination on American Idol. Fans of the singer should expect to see and hear her around for sometime to come.

I find this interesting because IIRC in previous seasons they were not allowed to sign record deals until the tour was over. Maybe they changed it this year or are they making an exception? Anyone know?

American Idol: Movie Theme Week
I just found out now that Pia was eliminated. I was trying to remain spoiler free until I got home from my trip. Oh well. Now I know so I am reading the thread.
I am sorry your favorite went home.
Sad that you have to insult me in your sorrow. Look, from my first comment on her, I said she had the best female voice on the show. That was apparent. But to get votes you have to be appealing. To me, and apparently to others too, she lacked something genuine, other than a powerful voice. She “performed.” powering at 100% is boring to a lot of us. When she talked about herself, she was not particularly appealing and had some amount of smugness.
It's more time at the big ole ranch they're at and the judges are really blunt. It's on Friday nights at 8:00 CMT.
Well Pia needs acting lessons because if it’s the tv audience that is responsible for voting, that’s who she needed to convince. That being said, Stefano is terrible and Pia is not terrible but just like in a campaign, if you don’t get the votes, you lose the primary.
I love that clip! They actually made me like that silly song! :-)
LOL. I don’t drink. I guess I saw something on your post and it didn’t have quote marks around it so I then assume it was posted by the poster. If you are on cruises, I know you’re workin’ night and day. People have no idea...
I saw it and the judges did a better job at critiquing, but I think they also went pc with who they kept and who they let go. jmo
The song is catchy and that is what sells. She doesn’t have the best voice, but she comes off as likable. Pia could take a lesson. Just goes to show, it isn’t always about the best voice.
I take an Advil (1) before a long concert like tomorrow's is going to be about two hours. It's not floriduh voter's concert so I get to sit some and stand a lot. I counted 15 songs I'm in tomorrow. Before Obama makes Advil a prescription, they seem to relax everything.
I just picked out my accessories. I didn't need Gwen Stefani. I look like someone not using their a/c today and feel like it. Tomorrow, I will transform into the other persona. I don't agree that singers should "be yourself". It's like acting with notes.
Our venue is in the top 6 and 7 in the world for ticket sales and popularity.
That being said, we are singing four slow songs tomorrow and I like one of the four. Medium tempo is my favorite.
Slow is fine but my slow songs are from the 1910's and 1920's. I do not know why. I love Bing Crosby, Fats Waller, Billie Holiday, Doris Day, Ella Fitzgerald, Dean Martin, Julie London, Ethel Waters, all the jazz and big band but I also LUV country.
I stand with my right foot in front and lean forward so I can watch the conductor like a hawk. Then I smile like nobody's business no matter what.
It's funny and maybe it's AI's fault. Complete strangers don't ever come up and say they like my voice. They say they like me. I do not get it but I think AI started this voting/liking mentality. I like me too. I like most everybody. : )
True that. That contestant was horrible. She couldn’t sing country or anything else. Maybe they were compensating for all the AI women that got the boot. It definitely says in the credits produced by AI. That singer was so bad. The other contestants were really good. I liked the 50 year old and the guy with the dark hair and beard. Oops, I didn’t pick a girl. Okay, the girl from Canada is really good and she reminds me of Shania Twain. It’s probably good that a bar is voting instead of America.
I always take soft peppermints along and there’s water backstage (huge stage complex.) I might sneak water on stage tomorrow since it’s so much music.
BREAKING NEWS: Pia already signed with a record label. This is not surprising. The label can spend more time with her and they will before they send her out.
Pia starts recording next Friday. Record deal. Now she’ll learn all the p’s and q’s.

American Idol is getting as complicated as the U.S. Govt.
