If the female contestant doesn’t connect with the female voters, they never win. If they do connect, they win big. I did a post on Pia last week here at FR. I didn’t think she’d get very far but she was better vocally than half the guys who remain.

"Pia doesn’t come across on the tv screen. She’s not looking into the camera. Why don’t they teach that?"

They have to shine or sparkle and for the camera, not just for the audience there at AI. Pia for her evident vocal talent and good looks didn't shine.

Kelly Clarkson has a trademark wink. Pia had no signature move - she needs to figure out how to connect and everything just might fall into place.

I sing for the audience and if I succeeded, people will seek me out afterward.

(I eat lots of hard boiled eggs before a concert and walk a lot so the stage doesn't get the best of me. There's much more standing, up and down stairs, sitting and walking around than just singing in the concert.)

Pia more time practicing looking into the camera and some small clubby places before she gets a record deal and still stage presence issues. Okay, I'm done now.

I think the female contender needs to convince the female voters that she’s their BFF. If somehow through that tv screen she can convey that we’re friends, there’s not jealousy. It’s not a jealousy thing. It’s a becoming our friend even if it’s just make believe. Show biz is make believe. Ya think?

Pia had no spark, a singing statue. She can learn how to get stage presence but she didn’t have it yet no matter what she wore or what she sang. It’s in the eyes.

I am part of the American Idol audience. I don’t think Fergie or Pink are any good.

I am also not a soccer mom or a tween girl.

I watch Idol and I vote. I am also a musician.

This statement is just asinine.

I didn't vote for Pia because I don't like her singing style or her stage presence. There has been no huge conspiracy. Pia wasn't liked as much as the other contestants. That's it.

You need to get over your self. Maybe have a drink or something.
