Thanks, yorkie. I did get a nap after I came home. I didn’t go to cemetary, just too hard.

Just now had a delicious oyster stew. I always save enough oysters for a stew. The fried ones yesterday were soooo good!

Here is a VERY old favorite of mine - “He” by the Righteous Brothers. The words are so meaningful, today:

By: Richard Mullen

He can turn the tides
And calm the angry sea.
He alone decides
Who writes a symphony.
He lights ev’ry star
That makes our darkness bright.
He keeps watch all through
Each long and lonely night.
He still finds the time
To hear a child’s first prayer.
Saint or sinner call
And always find Him there.

Though it makes him sad
To see the way we live,
He’ll always say, “I forgive.”

He can grant a wish
Or make a dream come true.
He can paint the clouds
And turn the gray to blue.
He alone knows where
To find the rainbow’s end.
He alone can see
What lies beyond the bend.
He can touch a tree
And turn the leaves to gold.
He knows every lie
That you and I have told.

Thank you, JC.

Well, it wasn’t that he was ‘cutting down’ any other of the armed services - I hope people don’t take it like that.

But, I was married to a very proud Marine, and I think some of his ‘pride’ wore off on me.

Heavenly days no. President Reagan bragged on all servicemen but he just knew how to do it better than Presidents before him.

George Bush loved the Military men with all his heart too. I’ve never figured out O. He copies some of Bush’s phrases now and then and he just does that hoping those who don’t like him will come around and vote for him!

Have you eaten plenty of CHICKEN SOUP? Remember I told you that my son had to have two rounds of antibiotics and he was still coughing a lot about a week ago.

Well, Barry (the divorced son) got real sick on Sunday about two weeks ago and felt worse on Monday and stayed home from work. Well he made it to the store for chicken. He bought boneless, skinless thighs and he made him a big pot of chicken noodle soup.

After it had cooked a good while, he started eating it and the cold and congestion started breaking up in an hour or two and he was feeling so much better, he went back to work on Tuesday. He coughed up all that old stuff that makes you feel so bad and he got over it fairly quickly.

And all that time, I was advising him to call the doctor....LOL! Perhaps he didn't have the same thing or it was a fluke but I swear I believe chicken soup is a great remedy.

from my e-mail box...

YOU TOOK MY PARKING SPACE AT CHURCH

This should wake us up.

One day, a man went to visit a church, He got there early, parked his car and got out. Another car pulled up near the driver got out and said, " I always park there! You took my place!"

The visitor went inside for Sunday School, found an empty seat and sat down A young lady from the church approached him and stated, "That ' s my seat! You took my place!" The visitor was somewhat distressed by this rude welcome, but said nothing.

After Sunday School, the visitor went into the sanctuary and sat down. Another member walked up to him and said, " That ' s where I always sit! You took my place!" The visitor was even more troubled by this treatment, but still He said nothing.

Later as the congregation was praying for Christ to dwell among them, the visitor stood up, and his appearance began to change. Horrible scars became visible on his hands and on his sandaled feet. Someone from the congregation noticed him and called out, "What happened to you?" The visitor replied, as his hat became a crown of thorns, and a tear fell from his eye, "I took your place."

When you receive this, say a prayer.. That ' s all you have to do. There is nothing attached. This is powerful. Just send this to four people and see what happens.. Maybe, just maybe, we can get the world to start thinking of who took our place..

You have probably had something worse, Conor, like my first son did. He thought he would never get better. Glad you are going back to the doctor. He will put you on something else probably to kill it. I’ve been hearing about these awful “super bugs” going around that antibiotics hardly touch!

Hoping for improvement soon, Conor. Keep your friends here informed! (((Prayers)))
