LOL
Gives ya food for thought, don’t it?
LOL!
An extremely overweight man was put on a diet by his doctor.
"I want you to eat regularly for 2 days, then skip a day, and repeat this procedure for 2 weeks. The next time I see you, youll have lost at least 5 pounds," the doctor said.
When the man returned, the doctor was shocked that the man had lost nearly 20 pounds.
"Why, thats amazing!" the doctor said, "Did you follow my instructions?"
The man nodded... "Ill tell you though, I thought I was going to drop dead that 3rd day."
"From hunger, you mean?" asked the doctor.
"No, from all that skipping."
An exhausted looking man dragged himself in to the Doctors office. "Doctor, there are dogs all over my neighborhood. They bark all day and all night, and I cant get a wink of sleep."
"I have good news for you," the doctor answered, rummaging through a drawer full of sample medications. "Here are some new sleeping pills that work like a dream. A few of these and your trouble will be over."
"Great," the man answered, "Ill try anything. Lets give it a shot."
A few weeks later the man returned, looking worse than ever. "Doc, your plan is no good. Im more tired than before!"
"I dont understand how that could be, said the doctor, shaking his head. "Those are the strongest pills on the market!"
"That may be true," answered the man wearily, "but Im up all night chasing those dogs, and when I finally catch one its really hard to get it to swallow the pill!!!"
November 9, 2010, marked the 21st anniversary of the fall of the Berlin wall. On that day in 1989, an announcement over East German TV informed people that they were free to travel to West Germany. A day later, East German bulldozers began to dismantle the wall that for 28 years had divided East and West Germany.
Jesus Christ has broken down the middle wall of separation between Jew and Gentile (Eph. 2:14). But there was an even more impenetrable barrier that separated man from God. Jesus death and resurrection made the reconciliation between man and man and between man and God possible (v.16).
All believers are now members of the household of God (v.19). Together, we are to grow into a holy temple in the Lord (v.21) with Gods Holy Spirit living among and within us (v.22).
But sadly, Christians often re-erect walls between one another. That is why Paul urges us to walk worthy of the calling . . . , bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (4:1-3). Rather than building walls, lets work to dismantle what separates us. Let the world see that we are indeed of the same household.

AUSTIN The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit on Thursday vacated a lower courts ruling and dismissed a lawsuit claiming that the National Day of Prayer is unconstitutional. Last weeks ruling found that the Freedom From Religion Foundation had no standing to challenge the Presidents National Day of Prayer proclamation because the presidential action had not caused the plaintiffs any harm.
Last weeks ruling was an important victory for religious liberties, Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott said. The federal appeals court overturned the lower courts decision and dismissed the challenge to the National Day of Prayer.
Nice one.
LOL Thank you for sharing.
A good morning to you and thanks!
Thank you, Dubya. I just thought the pictures and the whole story was so sweet. That newborn, the early training.......what a special little one that is!
Did you see Taylor on Jimmy Fallon a couple of weeks ago? He's repeating the show THIS Friday night. It is the cutest thing! You need to watch it if you didn't see it before. Well, even if you DID see it before, it's priceless! A YouTube was made of it and viewed over a million times in less than 2 days! Then NBC took it down because of copyright infringement. Boooo! :(
There aren’t enough words in the English dictionary to describle this wonderful video, plus Taylor Hick’s song “Do I Make You Proud”! I’m full of goosebumps! Thank you very much!!
Sometimes I make it half way through Jay Leno, but seldom make it to Jimmy Fallon. Would love to see the repeat!
And I’d like to take NBC down for infringement on my rights to hear the truth politically! I had to get my licks in for NBC. They are so one sided in their political reporting. For some reason, they all have a love affair with Obama and he can do no wrong and according to them, the Republicans can’t do anything right! I’m soooo political and get tired of the networks coverage. Didn’t mean to change the subject...LOL!
How Sweet!! Thank you Billie!
If it will help you, the segment with Taylor is really close to the top of the show. And HIS name is not mentioned, because he is a surprise guest. You just need to watch - it’s about a bet that Jimmy Fallon and Stephen Colbert had, and Fallon’s win was that Colbert would have to sing “Friday” on Fallon’s show. It is hilarious! It is so campy and fun and over-the-top. He comes out in a tux and starts off very serious, then it kicks in and, well, just watch!
Thank YOU! Can’t go wrong with attention on our little four-legged friends. :)
