Hong Dong, a red Tibetan Mastiff sold
to a Chinese coal baron for $1.5 million.
Apparently this breed is considered
to be both holy and a status symbol.
(This is hard to comprehend, isn't it?)

I would have no idea what the puppies would cost but I guess a lot of money. They are beautiful dogs, thats for sure. I figure no dog is worth $1.5 million? WOW!

This dog will have an expensive insurance policy. It might get sick or die somehow. I agree it is a totally outrageous price or payment for a dog. A few horses (thoroughbred) have brought that price or more. Some people have a great amount of money. It is all relative in a way.
