TRUMP...the more he talks the more I like him
VANITY | 03-28-2011 | NEVERBLUFFER

Posted on 03/28/2011 9:03:26 PM PDT by neverbluffer

Trump is growing on me more and more as possibly the right person to lead the nation.

I am not 100% convinced he has conservative credentials, but he most certainly would be a person that could get this country back to a position of respect, world standing, economic prosperity etc.

He seems to be talking the talk lately, and saying things that most conservatives are afraid to day.

He might be the right person at the right time.

Any thoughts from fellow freepers?

Don't make a rush to judgment on someone currently in the headlines.

Invariably they will disappoint in a matter of days/weeks.

I would never decide on a President on the basis of a few good comments.

However, Trump is doing the country a service with his statements and for that I am grateful. (But he wouldn't make a good Pres).

He’s using bonafide “birthers” to promote himself. I repeat: He’s using others to get ahead in life.

He’s not a social conservative at all. And for that I won’t vote for him.

Are you saying you'd rather have Obama reelected than vote for Trump?

If the Repubs are stupid enough to run him, Huckabee or Palin then we deserve 4 more years of Osama...

Yeah well now you're just being mean. No one, as a collective Nation, deserves this level of fallacy. Give them the truth.

Trump has the guts to say things that most of the GOP in the US congress is too chicken $hit to bring up.

Any thoughts from fellow freepers?

You are an idiot easily amused by monkeys wearing a fez and top coat clanging on cymbals.

You are the epitome of the failure of the American consumer class to fulfill the duties of citizenship.

You vote based upon the appearance of power, instead of the power of ideas.

You have more knowledge of your belly button than politics.

Other than that, Trump’s own business partners know he’s a moron. Go listen to what Wilbur Ross really thinks about Donnie Jr.

Saturday Night Live Transcripts

Season 3: Episode 9

77i: Steve Martin / Dirt Band, Randy Newman

Steve Martin’s Monologue

.....Steve Martin
.....John Belushi

Remember that old Steve Martin joke about the secret formula for becoming a millionaire?

“First, get a million dollars ...”

Donnie Jr has never made a dime in his life for his investors in total, due to his repeated failed projects. His companies are BK in total and have been since 2006, and he started the TV show to maintain income stream.

I think the Freepers who have connected Trump to Hillary may have hit on something, the timing of these questions by Trump. Hillary and the Magic One have probably been going at it behind the scenes and Hillary may well be turning Trump loose on O.

"Didn’t he go bankrupt twice?"

There's no way he could outspend Obama. The Kenyan has bankrupted the whole country. Trump is raising issues everybody else is afraid to touch. Give the guy a bigger microphone!

IMO, look at motive. What is in it for Trump?

He has a gotcha moment, but lost from the debate is long form BC, natural born citizenship, college transcripts, etc.

Don’t ever count Trump out. The man started at the bottom, got to the top, crashed and came back. Thats a fighter. Am I the only one that remembers Trump taking out a full page ad in every major paper the 80’s? No business angle at all it was about us having to float 15 aircraft carriers around the world while the countries we defended pumped out consumer goods and drove our deficit. It was fiscal insanity to tax our economy so we could support occupying most of the world and driving the economies of states that elect not to defend themselves.
He cares, and I for one would be ecstatic to watch Trump who made his fortune building an efficient organization, dropped into the largess and waste of DC. I bet we hear alot of “Your Fired”

All I can say is he is doing us all a huge favor by having the guts to push the birth certificate issue.

Catch his appearance tonight on Greta. He is really putting the pressure on Obama and people like O’reilly are going to have a hard time continuing to ignore this issue.

He actually said tonight that he is starting to have great concerns that Obama may not be showing the birth certificate because he was not born in the US which would make his presidency ILLEGAL!

Holy crap batman:

I don't think Trump is serious about running but I do think he now believes Obama is not eligible and he is out to expose this to the American people. Go Donald Go!!

At Least he came out of it and not led us further into debt like the rest of the political stooges.

I trust Trump on business than any other candidate with one exception.... Herman Cain.

"The man started at the bottom.."

If you mean inheriting his dad's multi million dollar real estate business as "starting at the bottom", then sure, he started at the bottom.

Look, I actually think Trump has several admirable qualities, not the least of which is he (help) raise three kids of enormous privilege into hard-working, successful and productive entrepreneurs in a very difficult city that is wrought with temptation. None of his succumbed like so many do. Trump deserves credit for that.

And, he says some conservative things, but I don't think anyone could accurately describe him as a SoCon. As a candidate, like I said, it would get ugly, early. You can't be in the big-city real estate business and not have graveyards full of skeletons in your closet, especially not in NYC.

Trump is an idiot.

But I hope he keeps talking about the trade deficit, the birth certificate, the off shoring of jobs and China.

The time has come to question the conventional wisdom which asks the question: “Is a candidate electable?”.

The truth is my dog could beat 0bama.

The question becomes: “Who has the guts to turn around this socialist Rat/Soros agenda?”

On that score Palin looks to be a top contender.

I was listening to FOX News Cable on Sirius Radio, and he was on with Greta today. He really did connect with me in the words he had to say. Yes, he started off with a response in regards to the "Birth Certificate", but then he went into other issues from Libya to China, and I was very much excited by what he had to say.

Right now, I think he is in the running for my vote if he goes all out for the nomination. But it is really hard for me to make a committed call on this, I really like "Rudy" Giuliani a lot as well, he also connected with me a few days ago on FOX as well.

And I love Sarah.

I can tell you who I am NOT going to vote for - J. Bush Florida. He doesn't connect at all.

I really like Michele Bachmann, and while I use to make fun of Huckabee I really admire him now and if he Reps choose him as their nominee I am 100% ready to support him.

So you can see, the Republicans have some great names in he mix here, as far as Newt I am thinking he is not on my list that his time has come and gone God bless him.

To be honest, my gut instinct on this is, while I tend to want to support the Ladies this time around as the nominee, if the world is still so topsy turvey as it is now (and I am really feeling down on the world of late, it really is depressing and scary) for me I would want a Matriarch, but I just got a gut feeling on this one that come 2012 what America is going to be looking for is a 'father figure' - and in that respect you have:

(1) Huckabee strikes me as the calm but fatherly figure who speaks the wise words at the right time (he would be a winner over Obama) ... (2) Rudi also strikes me as a strong father figure, he is the father you see who goes before the "school board" to speak on your behalf, he is also a warrior when it's needed... he would beat Obama in 2012 ... (3) And now I am adding Donald Trump to the father figure category, in that yes he is quick to the words at times but he is the father who shows up settle the "neighborhood fights" and such - and I don't think this is a stunt at all, I think he truly loves America and wants to do his best to revel the vision of the USA as a leader in the world economically and in respect. So yes, I now count him in.

Trump is pretending to want to be President in order to "enhance the Trump brand" and keep the money rolling in.

Consider him the "everbluffer".

The most amusing reply I hear is ‘If Trump runs for the White House, Obama wins another 4 years.’

Pray tell, how do the Democrats make up the electoral votes from New York to keep the White House with Obama? Because if it's Obama v Trump in New York, Trump will win, hands down.

If Trump runs, Obama’s finished.
