132 pounds of screaming uncontrollable 3 year old. I’m not a wuss but I’d want a taser to deal with that. I think they hope if he gets heavily enough he eventually won’t be able to move. Does he have Prader-Willi syndrome or something along those lines?
“His parents claim he throws vicious tantrums if he doesn’t get third or fourth helpings of dinner.”
I think back to what would have happen to me at any time growing up had I behaved this way.
It would have been a physical, violent, emotional, life changing event. I wouldn’t have been able to sit for a couple of days.
Heh. I heard that.
OMG...that kid is bigger than my German Shepherd! I’d take it to the Vet and have it put down before it attacks and eats somebody.
Sarc on)
Hey, THAT’S Child Abuse! You should file a lawsuit against your folks for physical and mental abuse, how did you ever survive and grow into a successful, respectful and responsible citizen?

Spare the rod and spoil the child...
These parents are INDEED ABUSING this child. The world has turned itself on its head-what is right is wrong and wrong right. Who knew the Bible would be so accurate?
Just to add a tidbit... since China has a one child only policy, it is common for parents to spoil rotten their one (especially if it is a boy). I’ve read articles that say the young boys in China are more rude, fat, and allowed to do things and this is now an issue there. Just a thought.
More parents are conditioned to want to be their child’s “friend” or “buddy” than even 20 years ago. You can even hear it in the nicknames they give their children.
It will be a cold day in Hell before a 3 year old intimidates me.
Or He Pingping, the Chinese “smallest man in the world”—or he was, before he died at 21; 29 inches tall, maybe weighed 20 pounds, and was a heavy smoker...
Weebles wobble but they don’t fall down.
My family and I traveled back home on Monday from Minnesota on an American Airlines flight that was maybe 30% capacity. There was a Chinese family (dad, mom, 4yr. old boy, 1 yr old girl) three rows ahead of us. The children were RUNNING around in the aisles, and I had to verbally tell the 4 year old not to pull on the emergency door handle, since his parents were not about to do it. The flight attendant at one point had to tell the mom that the 1 year old girl was not allowed to be in the emergency exit row BY HERSELF. Geeesssshhhh. Where was the Tiger Mom?
This is very sad. I hope the family has checked to see if the child has a genetic disorder called Prader-Willi syndrome. pwsausa.org
I’ve seen a few shows on tv about children who have some disorder where they can’t feel full. They literally crave the food - more than any normal person craves something. It is easy for all of us to say lock up the food or don’t feed him, but I think this child probably has some sort of disorder - this is horrible.
Some (including FReepers) have referred to Prader-Willi syndrome. I know almost nothing about it but obviously it’s a possibility with this kind of growth.
However, I am also swayed by those who say that China’s one-child policy leads many parents to spoil a kid rotten since it’s the only one they will have.
Of course others knew the name of the syndrome - I posted too quickly before reading their comments. I do think a LOT of the weight issues with children are due to spoiling and because too many people rely on fast food these days - but I’ve seen a few documentaries on that Prader-Willi syndrome and it is heartbreaking. It is like watching a crack addict - these people literally are chaining their refrigerator at night. It would be a horrible feeling to know that your child was dealing with something so destructive to their health.
