FACEBOOK ATTACK?
SELF | March 13, 2011 | swampsniper

I restarted the computer a while ago and when it booted up about 2/3 of my desktop icons have a blue Facebook symbol on them. Spybot didn't find anything at all, Avast says all is fine.

What is going on here? I allowed a flash player update early this morning, could the Facebook icons come in with that?

Why don’t you use an open source alternative like OpenSuse or Ubuntu? These are all as easy to use as Windows, free, and relatively immune to spyware, adware, viruses, etc.?

And what have you been using for Flash over the past 15 years?

Used to be quicktime was the big thing now it is flash. I never had any trouble getting flash for Linux I just download the Tar pkg unzip it place the .so file in the plugins folder and you got flash. I did this even before most Linux systems even offered flash, now flash is in most package managers.

I have those installed lol, but my main OS is Slackware Linux it is the oldest version of Linux still around and very stable. A lot of programs that use almost 100% cpu in other systems will only use around 30 to 40% in Slackware very low resource usage.

Also dump your flash asset cache. On my computer the path is “C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\FlashPlayer\AssetCache\MT5C54T8” But it might be different on yours.

Sounds like an OS/Registry glitch.

Millions of people, “haven’t had a problem with it”, because they don’t know how the information and access is being used against their interest.
