On top of that, it will be full. And one astrologer believes it could inflict massive damage on the planet.
Nine days closer than today? Not likely........fire the idiot!

When the moon is full it is lighter outside, more people (and crooks) out at night because they can see. Don’t know but that might have something to do with it.

***Well, gee, what did it cause 18 years ago?***
18 years ago...Was that when all the weirdos went to Chaco Canyon, Aztec Ruins ceremonial kiva, and lots of world non-Christian “holy places”, stood around in a circle, held hands, looked up and went “Ah-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h-h to get the moon on it’s regular orbit and save the earth?
I still remember about 30-40 years ago when an alignment of the planets was supposed to destroy earth!

That is what the old timers called a Comanche or Apache moon as that was when to expect attacks.

I saw this in a movie once. I think it causes a 3,000 foot tidal wave. Either that or it rips the atmosphere off the Earth and we all float out into space. In either event, TIME TO PARTY LIKE ITS THE END OF THE WORLD!!!!

wow, there is lots of conflicting information around. Looks like your guy has the best credentials. Other sites all seem to conflict on the actual dates of the syzygy perigee, several show it on jan 30, 2010 not 2011.
oh well, its more fun to just panic :)
