Nice.
I have a cannon scanner, and my daughter has photoshop. Thanks for the tips.
A couple of years ago, CVS did develop-only—36 frames for $2.
there’s a depth within film that digital just can’t seem to capture, no matter how many megapixels pushed
I love my M6. ...and all my old, screw mount Leicas, as well. I’ve got a IIIf in the original box in the other room, along with a bunch of other cameras, including a pre-war III, a IIIc and my dad’s IIIf.
I’m glad I have a chest freezer full of film in the odd sizes I need. I still have 120 and 127 film, so I can feed my Rolleiflexes.
The world isn’t the same without Kodachrome. It’s very sad to think of the death of film, even though digital has now surpassed film for resolution and color accuracy in many areas.
Because I make my living as a photographer, 99% of the time I use digital. I only use film for the pure enjoyment of it.
fungus is easy to kill but you will have exposure problems.. fungus destroys the coatings and will cost you 1==>2 stops ... if the fungus wasn’t evenly coating the glass you’ll have overexposed and underexposed areas in the same frame.
I don't mind putting 8 or 10 hours of work in to a good lens over several days. I can't do extremely delicate work anymore, my eyes and hands aren't up to it, but I can still do a lot.

Ive got retired friends who just sit around like stumps, I dont want any part of that!
I visit or call and all I hear is about aches and pains and doctors, Hell, they arent any older or more worn down than I am.
Great attitude there Swamp. Might help the rest of us to know just how far along in life you are. You know, so we can appreciate what we have to look forward to.
I trust since you are all male, I can ask the above without fear of retribution? Do you find FL any help as far as the physical?
Thanks again, I may not speak for all, but I enjoy the pics and the discussions on photography in general.
For example, light seals, they just might have been a sea creature for all I knew. Now I know better. Guess I should run some film through my old pentax, if I can find it, just to see how those light seals are doing.

My last visit to the social security office almost set me off, they will have full body searches there any day now.
The rentacop they have doesn't like me, and the feeling is mutual. I never learned to cower and whimper and it's too late to learn now.

Sounds like my last visit to the county court house. Metal detector, large scanner, two armed individuals, hand scanner. It is not fun to have to literally undress, to enter. Don’t wear you steel toed boots, large belt buckle etc etc.
I do all I can to avoid people like that!
I know you're supposed to respect the badge but when it's pinned on an A$$ I just can't salute it!
My Canon Scanner, about 8 yrs old, is 'supposed' to scan negatives but I've never tried it as I can barely get a good scanned copy of my IL FOID Card to send to online Ammo companies.
But what I wanted to tip you off about is this neat website I always use for Equipment reference, it's: dpreview.com (Digital Photography Review). They have everything about any Digital Camera ever made. From their Review, the camera release date, the MSRP Price, and all of a Camera's Specs. They also have a members forum where a lot of questions and answers can be found on every Camera, Lenses, etc. And Registration Is FREE.
It was thanks to them that I found out yesterday that there was an Update Issued for my Nikon NX2 imaging software (In Dec, I goofed up my Nikon Website Account and had accidentally checked the box NOT to email me anything - Doh!).So in your 'spare time' :-) give dpreview.com a look.
I post on several DPR forums, I've learned a lot there.
Hi.
Excuse me for butting in but be careful with your "old pentax". I have an 'old' Pentax Spotmatic II which is still clicking away - they were built like tanks. But those 'old' Pentax cameras used Mercury Batteries. Which we now know, thanks to the EPA, are as 'dangerous' as Mustard Gas and Napalm combined ;-).
Now my old Mercury Battery in my Pentax still works but if you need a new one a Mercury won't be found and you'll need a modern equivalent, which are readily available. However they not 'exactly' equal Voltage wise. The old Pentax Spotmatic II like mine, took a 1.35 Volt battery and the new equivalents are all 1.55 Volts, which means your meter 'Could be' off -- as much as two f stops over exposed when you put the meter needle in the middle. (1)
So when you 'run some film' through yours don't take any pics that are irreplaceable moments. Take test shots of one item, underexposing as you go a long. The 3rd Pic 'should' give you the right exposure. From then on you'll know where the needle should be on the low side.
Another easier and prolly a better 'trick' is Pushing the film. Buy 100 ISO film but set the Camera at 400 ISO. That will under expose the film buy Two f Stops but your meter needle will be in the middle, and should give you the correct results when you have the film processed -- it's compensating for the higher Voltage. But don't tell them you Pushed the film by 2 Stops, or the Lab will compensate for the 'Push' and screw up the film.
Here is a LINK for old Camera batteries and their Modern Equivalent.
Camera Batteries - a complete chart
Happy Clicking and welcome to the: 'SWAMPSNIPER Photo Club' :-)
(1) The Over Exposure from the higher 1.55 Volt Batteries is all from what I've read up on this. I have NOT personally tried this yet with these new batteries in my old Pentax camera. So take test rolls to see what actually works - maybe it's only One f Stop over exposure?. And read all the info on the Battery Page link.

They are a little expensive but should last a year.
My Hi-Matic uses these.
My only problem is I closed my Pay Pal Account a couple years ago. Got an email from them that someone was trying to access my account and withdraw money.
Since then I never opened-reopened a new Pay Pal account.
That email wasn’t from Paypal or Ebay, someone wanted you to log in where they sent you so they would have your password and other data.
Thank you
