Yes, and it was quite good - problem is, I nearly bit my fingers off, so I now have to fight off the craving.

How about a French Apple Pie with icing, raisins, cinnamon, and soft-baked apples and add in cherries for taste and color?

Now, for the all-time “cake”, cheesecake - with pineapple, cherries, blueberries, peaches, strawberries, on top.

Or, Black Forest Cake, 7 layers, with cherry jelly between each one, with cherries in liqueur in-between and covered with sweet whipped cream on top and in-between the layers, and shaved chocolate on top and the sides.

Excuse me. I’m going out to Metro Diner 29 to get some of each. I’ll take my Lipitor and Plavix with me.

Love rubarb pie too!!! I have some in the freezer waiting until March for my son’s birthday. My 89 year old mother grows it in the little flower bed behind her condo.

I like Chef Pierre peach hi pie. It’s made with less goo in and more fruit. I use to work at Sara Lee for six years and ate them all. About a pie a day.

I have a very old family recipe for Buttermilk pie that will knock your socks off.

My son ask me to make them about every three months, so he can share with coworkers. Hmmm, I wonder why I don’t teach him how to make the pie?

My grandpa used to eat his apple pie topped with a slice of sharp cheddar cheese.

I've never tried that, but there isn't much that you could do with cheese where I wouldn't like it. I'm a cheese-aholic.

Have you ever considered the benefits of an all cheese diet? :)

I love cheese but a all cheese diet wouldn’t do. You would need some meat to make it a balanced diet.

May I suggest bacon.
