AWESOME!!
When you call the front desk and say, " I gotta leak in my sink, and the clerk replies .......
"Go ahead."

God's Problem Now: His wife's graveside service was just barely finished, when there was a massive clap of thunder, followed by a tremendous bolt of lightning, accompanied by even more thunder rumbling in the distance. The little, old man looked at the pastor and calmly said, 'Well, she's there'.

The Importance of Walking
Walking can add minutes to your life. This enables you at 85 years old to spend an additional 5 months in a nursing home at $7000 per month.
My grandpa started walking five miles a day when he was 60. Now he's 97 years old and we don't know where he is.
I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me.
The only reason I would take up walking is so that I could hear heavy breathing again. I have to walk early in the morning, before my brain figures out what I'm doing.
I joined a health club last year, spent about 400 bucks. Haven't lost a pound.
Apparently you have to go there.
Every time I hear the dirty word 'exercise', I wash my mouth out with chocolate.
The advantage of exercising every day is so when you die, they'll say,
'Well, she looks good doesn't she.'
If you are going to try cross-country skiing, start with a small country.
We all get heavier as we get older, because there's a lot more information in our heads.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
-Romans 12:21 (NRSV)
MY friend César had a decision to make: Should he help someone who had hurt and maligned him? He decided to put aside what had happened between them in the past. With humility and Christian love, he looked beyond the animosity and showed the other person the love that the Holy Spirit had poured out into his heart. Love triumphed over resentment.
In scripture we find people facing similar decisions. King David had the opportunity to destroy Saul, but instead he said, “The Lord forbid that I should do this thing to my Lord, the Lord’s anointed” (1 Sam. 24:6). Jonathan decided to defy his father by staying on the side of justice and defending David. (See 1 Sam. 20.)
Often we too are confronted with challenges and important decisions. Some have a lasting impact. Each day we can consciously decide whether to serve God or ourselves. Choosing to serve God will fill our hearts with joy.

Prayer
Dear God, may we desire to do your will. We pray as Jesus taught us, saying, “Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.”*
Thought for the Day
Each time you face a choice today, pause for a few seconds to consider how your decision can serve God’s purposes

It erupts. It melts everything in its path. Its blast is as powerful as a nuclear explosion!
Well, maybe notbut a temper can feel as intense as a volcano when it is aimed directly at another person in a family. The moment may be quickly over, but it can leave emotional devastation and bitter feelings behind.
Its sad that the people we love the most are often the target of our hurtful words. But even when we feel weve been provoked, we have a choice. Will we respond in anger or in kindness?
The Bible tells us to rid ourselves of bitterness and anger, and to be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you (Eph. 4:32).
If you are struggling with chronic anger that is hurting your relationships, surrender this vulnerable part of your emotions to Christs strength (Phil. 4:13). Ask God to forgive you for an uncontrolled temper and to show you how to moderate your emotions and to teach you how to honor others above yourself (Rom. 12:10). Seek out help from others to learn how to deal with your strong emotions in appropriate ways.
As we earnestly seek to love others and to please God, we can win the victory over a volcanic temper.

Choose the next CEO
A successful business man was growing old and knew it was time to choose a successor
to take over the business. Instead of choosing one of his Directors or his children,
he decided to do something different. He called all the young executives in his company
together. He said, “It is time for me to step down and choose the next CEO. I have
decided to choose one of you.
“The young executives were Shocked, but the boss continued “I am going to give
each one of you a SEED today - one very special SEED. I want you to plant the seed,
water it, and come back here one year from today with what you have grown from
the seed I have given you.
I will then judge the plants that you bring, and the one I choose will be the next CEO.
“One man, named Jim, was there that day and he, like the others, received a seed.
He went home and excitedly, told his wife the story. She helped him get a pot,
soil and compost and he planted the seed. Everyday, he would water it and watch
to see if it had grown.
After about three weeks, some of the other executives began to talk about
their seeds and the plants that were beginning to grow. Jim kept checking
his seed, but nothing ever grew. Three weeks, four weeks, five weeks went by,
still nothing. By now, others were talking about their plants, but Jim didn’t
have a plant and he felt like a failure. Six months went by — still nothing
in Jim’s pot. He just knew he had killed his seed. Everyone else had trees
and tall plants, but he had nothing. Jim didn’t say anything to his colleagues,
however, he just kept watering and fertilizing the soil - He so wanted the seed to grow.
A year finally went by and all the young executives of the company brought
their plants to the CEO for inspection. Jim told his wife that he wasn’t going
to take an empty pot. But she asked him to be honest about what happened.
Jim felt sick to his stomach, it was going to be the most embarrassing moment
of his life, but he knew his wife was right.
He took his empty pot to the board room. When Jim arrived, he was amazed at the
variety of plants grown by the other executives. They were beautiful — in all
shapes and sizes. Jim put his empty pot on the floor and many of his colleagues
laughed, a few felt sorry for him!
When the CEO arrived, he surveyed the room and greeted his young executives.
Jim just tried to hide in the back. “My, what great plants, trees and flowers
you have grown,” said the CEO. “Today one of you will be appointed the next CEO!”
All of a sudden, the CEO spotted Jim at the back of the room with his empty pot.
He ordered the Financial Director to bring him to the front. Jim was terrified.
He thought, “The CEO knows I’m a failure! Maybe he will have me fired!”
When Jim got to the front, the CEO asked him what had happened to his seed - Jim told
him the story. The CEO asked everyone to sit down except Jim. He looked at Jim,
and then announced to the young executives, “Behold your next Chief Executive Officer!
His name is Jim!” Jim couldn’t believe it. Jim couldn’t even grow his seed.
“How could he be the new CEO?” the others said. Then the CEO said, “One year ago today,
I gave everyone in this room a seed. I told you to take the seed, plant it, water it,
and bring it back to me today. But I gave you all boiled seeds; they were dead - it was
not possible for them to grow. All of you, except Jim, have brought me trees and plants
and flowers. When you found that the seed would not grow, you substituted another seed
for the one I gave you. Jim was the only one with the courage and honesty to bring me
a pot with my seed in it. Therefore, he is the one who will be the new Chief Executive Officer!”
* If you plant honesty, you will reap trust
* If you plant goodness, you will reap friends
* If you plant humility, you will reap greatness
* If you plant perseverance, you will reap contentment
* If you plant consideration, you will reap perspective
* If you plant hard work, you will reap success
* If you plant forgiveness, you will reap reconciliation
So, be careful what you plant now; it will determine what you will reap later.
PRAYER:
I thank Thee, Lord, for all the things that I love best, Now guide me through another day
And bless my work and bless my play. Lord, make me strong Protect and bless my loving friends; All this I ask for God’s will of good to be done.
In Jesus Name
Amen.
