I read somewhere that the cocoa bean growers are switching to other crops so that in a few years chocolate will be rare and only for the super rich.

Anyone else read that?

Two years ago I discovered that chocolate, especially dark chocolate, gives me killer migraines. Extremely sad day for me :(.

“Add a couple of tablespoons of dark cocoa powder to your banana and soy milk smoothie — a luscious addition to a heart-healthy drink.”

Drop the soy and use real milk! That stuff is dangerous!

I consider chocolate to be one of the essential food groups.

Consuming just one or two squares

That is a joke, right?

Chocolate (cocoa solids, that is) is a wonderful, healthy food in moderation. It’s the fat and sugar that’ll kill you.

I personally love using chocolate in low-carb recipes — the fat isn’t an issue, and sugar can be replaced with zero-carb sweeteners, as long as you’re dealing with something that absolutely requires sugar for texture reasons.

HOW funny....just this morning....I was craving a “FAT PILL” as we call them.....an apple fritter.....which I don’t indulge in very often...I looked around the kitchen and promised myself....if you do NOT go get a FAT PILL..you can have all the chocolate (dark) you want today....and I have! Figured it was MUCH better than an apple fritter. I HAVE stockpiled some chocolate in powder form....we do LOVE the LINDT 85% chocolate bars! Walmart has the best price right now. And, furthermore, I had a doctor tell me several years ago that dark chocolate (in moderation) WAS good for me.
