Charlie Sheen has checked into rehab.
The actor "has voluntarily entered an undisclosed rehabilitation center today," the actor's rep says in a statement Friday. "He is most grateful to all who have expressed their concern."
News of Sheen, 45, seeking treatment comes one day after the actor was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital citing severe abdominal pain.
Sheen's highly successful sitcom, Two and a Half Men, is going on hiatus due to the star's decision to enter rehab, according to a statement from CBS, Warner Bros. Television and executive producer Chuck Lorre.
"We are profoundly concerned for his health and well-being, and support his decision," they say in the statement.

Alcoholism is just awful,and cut a wide swath through my family.
Most got sober,a couple never did.
That was my guess, too.

My Friend's fiance was put on that three years ago. He is totally sober now.
A pity he could not find some worthy cause to interest himself in rather than ruin his health with cocaine.
Hildy, I hope he gets better. He’s still an irresponsible jackwagon though that deserves everything he is getting and has only himself to blame.

I have to admit that was a funny scene.
Make no mistake, Charlie Sheen is definitely a good comedic actor, he’s gotten by all his life on his charm, but that time is running out.
I loved the “bevy” routine. It was hilarious.

Sure.....He voluntarily entered rehab. BS he entered rehab to avoid being arrested for having a suitcase full of cocaine!! An old celeb dodge...Just like Lohan. He will get out after 28 days say he’s cured and no-one will say anything about it.....(Until he OD’s again or crashes his car into a family of four after a night of partying)

That was the first time I ever listened to her ... actually pretty good (cept for the subject matter) she’s got talent and a voice ... too bad she won’t be with us as long as she could be if she’d clean up her life.

Remember kiddies, next time you have a briefcase full of cocaine lift with your legs, not your back.
I am compassionate to a degree. What I have no compassion for is people who continue to support Sheen’s career, which enables him to afford his “lavish” lifestyle. The fan base needs to go cold turkey on him as well. Only when he’s down and out and eating from a pig trough, will he, hopefully, seek the help he needs. Otherwise, those who continue to support his career,and those like him, are enablers of his addictions.
