Another bump for German Shepherds.
You can’t get a breed with a better resume. Bar none. Period. End of story.

That photo reminded me ... I was lounging in a chaise one evening out back by the pond, looking at the stars, when I felt this warm air blowing on my forehead. I turn my head to the left a little to see the outline of this huge Great Dane sitting there. I had never seen the dog before.
Without moving I said, 'hey good boy' and he started licking my face. We became fast friends and he got along great with my dogs in the house. That was one majestic, gentle, loving dog!

Thank you ... yes, she was an American Bulldog. Lost Bama December 2009, but God loaned her to me for 13 years and she was dearly loved.
When I saw the photo of your beautiful old English, I thought their faces resembled each other and I could even see the spots on your dog's skin under the white fur.
I am a complete and total bulldog fan, but one does not own me currently.

Some great looking dogs here FREEPERS!
We switched to doodles (got a nice Golden Doodle) and poodles cause my daughter has asthma, but I got to admit these dogs are very smart and very lovable.
My Golden Doodle is also very good with aggressive dogs.

It is not clear just how big those dogs really are unless folks realize that you are 6’-1” tall!

That was one majestic, gentle, loving dog! I had a friend that breed Great Danes and they had one that weighed in at about 235 pounds. I can only imagine how strong that dog is. My pit / heeler mix is 1/4 the weight and he is so darn strong being little by comparison!

Naw, not mine ... I can't figure out what language that paper is printed in, but I've had that picture for a few years because it is so darn cute!
I used to have a bassett named Punkin Seed Coltrain, and she slept like that (minus the cigarettes).
