Was Abercrombie’s “Quest” for Obama’s Long-Form Birth Certificate Staged?

(Jan. 22, 2011) — Yesterday an article was published in the Honolulu Star Advertiser entitled “Abercrombie Drops Quest for Obama’s Birth Certificate” written by an unnamed Associated Press writer. Here are my comments:

In an incredibly lame and cowardly anticlimactic announcement, hiding behind his spokeswoman Donalyn Dela Cruz, Abercrombie’s spokeswoman, in plain political defense, in the Hawaiian Sun Advertiser, said this:

There is nothing more that Gov. Abercrombie can do within the law to produce a document. Unfortunately, there are conspirators who will continue to question the citizenship of our president.

The Star Advertiser continues:

Abercrombie, who was a friend of Obama’s parents and knew him as a child, launched an effort last month to find a way to dispel conspiracy theories that the president was born elsewhere. The governor said at the time he was bothered by people who questioned Obama’s birthplace for political reasons.

But Abercrombie’s investigation reached a dead end when Louie told him the law restricted his options.

Here are several important points that need to be noted that only make the situation all the more suspicious to any reasonable person, Dela Cruz’s Hillary Clinton-esque “right-wing conspiracy defense” notwithstanding:

1 - Bad political news is always dropped late Friday at the end of the news cycle in the hope that it will disappear from general view. The timing almost conclusively suggests that they do not see this as a win for themselves.

2 - Rush Limbaugh has officially, albeit belatedly, entered the debate full-throttle with the opening of his show this same day, highlighting the absurdity of the Abercrombie quest investigation. This must have been pretty alarming to the Obama camp, as Limbaugh’s embracing of the issue is likely to make it safe for many others outside of Limbaugh’s 20,000,000-person listenership to do the same.

“The Washington Post article reveals that this perjury has company: co-conspirators include the Obamas, the State of Hawaii, former Governor Lingle and DOH staffer Fukino, and the major media like the Post article linked here. Wow! Anybody who suggests we should require proof of constitutional eligibility for the highest office in the land is now a “conspirator.” When do I get indicted?

Could’ve been trying to BAIT the Republicans into weighing in on this crap during a tough time in this nation...could’ve been trying to get Tea Partiers to focus on it....

except, well, when he supposedly could NOT produce the document (does he have it in a drawer to suppress the crowd once it gets too loud?), then he had to make an excuse as to WHY it doesn’t exist.

Hussein is getting ready to propose MASSIVE new spending...he HATES capitalism, and he is kissing China’s butt. There are PLENTY of other reasons to oppose his socialist fascist tendencies—let’s defeat him on the basis of his bankrupt philosophy, instead of tilting at windmills, shall we?

Rush Limbaugh was reacting to Abercrombie’s stupidity—not throwing himself in with the birthers.

I just hope this foray into the theatre of the absurd ala Abercrumbie propells this political weapon [yeah, I said it!] to the forefront of state elections qualifying procedures. I call on EVERY state to reaffirm, amend, adjust and bolster the procedure for accepting Presidential Candidates onto their elections rosters.

In other words, make the Kenyan conclusively prove he was born in the United States before allowing his name on ANY ballot in 2012.

I agree with that 100%. Limbaugh has, in effect, blessed the Birther Movement's demand to see proof of a long-form BC and has opened the doors for others to do the same. It is no coincidence that Hannity followed Rush's lead just 3-hours later. Add to that the much broader MSM coverage of the Abercrombie fiasco than we are used to and I'm thinking we are seeing the dam start to leak big time.

Truthfully? I'm thinking that his mother and real father weren't married. In which case, he'd be American if he was born in the US, or in some cases overseas. I don't think beyond the obvious "they weren't married" stuff, this goes nowhere - even if Obama SR was married to someone else.

What I think is the truth is that maybe mama and newguy Soetro moved to Indo and they renounced their (her?) citizenship - maybe little Barry, too (which means the State Department is holding out on some dishy stuff)....I'd also say check more thoroughly into why he has a SSAN from Connecticut, a state in which he never lived. Lastly, I'd make him prove through DNA samples that he is, indeed, the offspring of Stanley Dunham.

The only logical conclusion is that Abercrombie went off the reservation by himself.
He had to know the legal restrictions on releasing a birth certificate before he opened his big mouth.
He must have naively assumed that Barry would agree to release his birth certificate to the American people.
Now it looks even more likely that there’s nothing there to release or there’s something very troubling politically .
Or even legally.
Abercrombie obviously got the phone call and is now trying to take his foot out of his mouth while removing
the White House’s boot from his throat.
He’s created a political mess for Obama by giving
the unreleased presidential birth certificate
national attention and validity.
And made it permissible for the timid right to finally discuss it.

Seems like a new requirement (law) could be made that, starting in the 2012 elections, all people running for public office must produce their birth certificates. When one gets employed by a city they have to show their birth certificate, transcripts from thirty years prior, marriage certificate, etc. It doesn’t seem unreasonable.
