Iain Pirie of 19 Entertainment says the decision to take an extra singer was made before the judges rescued Abrams from elimination.
"We just believe that we've got a very diverse, unusual collection of artists this year," Pirie says. "I think these 11 kids are really worthy of the opportunity to get out and play on this tour."

Thia Megia honored in Angeles City, Pampanga" The American Idol Season 10 finalist, 16-year-old Thia Megia is being honored by the city of her mother Cynthia for her international success as a Filipino-American.
The Angeles City council has passed a resolution Monday to commemorate the accomplishment of Thia.
According to the Philippine Information Agency, Councilor Edu Pamintuan, who sponsored the resolution, explained that Thia has made the city proud of her achievement in the international competition and she serves as an inspiration to the Angeleños and the Filipinos.
Is it International Idol now?
