In the good news for some and not others, the Yankees now have Tampa Bay's Rafael Soriano on their roster.
Ex Syracuse University coach Paul Pasqualoni has been named head coach of the University of Connecticut football team.
In politics, Reince Priebus elected new RNC chairman, replacing Michael Steele.
OK.
No kidding.
We have had snow on the ground since Dec 26 an it just keeps growing and growing. Too much cold for a meltdown although I am sure you have way more than we do.
I fixed breakfast,,,instant grits were not the way to go..but I think I’ll take a nap before I get up and get moving.
Zay is with his Dad this weekend so it’s quiet in the house this morning.
How are G, S and J?
I apologize for not writing for awhile. It's been busy here.
We took daughter Kathryn to Madison for extensive eye surgery on Tuesday night. Surgery was Wednesday morning. It took 6 surgeons and 5 hours of surgery to repair the damage, but we seem to be on the road to recovery. They replaced her lens, repaired the tears in the retina, and replaced her fluid in the eye. They also put in a shunt to help with the drainage. The surgery went extremely well, and with follow-up on Thursday the surgeons were pleased with how things are looking.
There will still be several trips to the U.W. Hospital Clinic for check ups, but at this point we're on our way!
Thank you for all your prayers and thoughts. It's heartening to see such wonderful people out there who continue to send us notes that keep us going!
Daughter Carolyn is back down in the Dominican Republic. She's going fishing today, and certainly is enjoying the balmy temps out there.
Son Steven registers on Wednesday at our local university.
Now... I must go out and shovel. We have about 3 inches of that white stuff on the ground. When is spring? ; )
Happy Birthday Mozie!
5.56mm
The temperatures have been below freezing for several days this season. In the past when I took care of the boys and chickens, there were days when their water was not frozen. Now, it's frozen everyday.
Thanks for checking in. Prayers continue.
great news Jay! keep us posted when you can on her progress
He seems very conservative.
Now I really have to go and shovel!
GOOD A.M. LADY FROM THE SUNNY DAYS, COLD NIGHTS MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST, USA!!!!
I am having a hard time getting my day started. for reason just can’t get my eyes fully open. D fixed me some eggs so I will stay on our diet, we are on a no meat. praying diet and I feel like it is working, will be on it for the next 8 weeks. Don’t know the name of it, just a ‘slack’ diet I call it.
I am a Fox watcher and have go to admit, they have messed up with the weekend crew in giving the morning news, the need to grow up and I am not a negative person, except on weekend mornings.
GD is still down after having her wisdom teeth pulled, hoping she will go to school Monday, such a good student she is, straight A’s, I gotta admit, her larning sure didn’t come from me, I was busy having fun when I was in school, reckon that was the reason I ended up at a Military Academy, yep, one of ‘those’ kind. She wants to be a Christian social worker— in Brazil. she and her dad went there one summer for christian work. Makes one each old man very happy.
Clean day in my ‘shack in the back’ today, needs it.
Now for my last cup of coffee.
Toby
I read somewhere that Priebus was the most conservative of the candidates. Hope that proves to be true. Does one pronounce it Pre bus?
Anyway, Hi, everyone. I haven’t participated here but I think I will start.
My facebook friends are driving me nuts.
And you are MOST welcomed...
Toby
Those articles you posted this morning certainly are two-bagger hurl alerts! We have the left going nuts and the RINOs trying to cover for them!
Welcome!!!
I have FB friends like that. I consider FB a free-for-all with all sorts of people. I haven’t screened my friend list for ideology. But here, I can pretty well count on having an assembly of like-minded people. We do pretty well at cherry-pit spittin’, too.
Priebus is pro-life.
The following post includes a video link that is section 3 of a 12 part series. The whole series is extremely worth watching--could be crucial--as in lifesaving to you and your family.
It is the best summary of reality currently facing our Republic and world, in terms of looming disasters, global government/US government evils etc.
The man--I think a professional researcher/detective type--has verified a list of things through his personally known contacts. Certainly I've read enough convincing material from enough of a diversity of sources to know that he's spot on correct in the longest list of ways of anyone I've read or heard.

.
Please prayerfully consider the information in the video. Much of his stuff can be verified by you on the net and otherwise from government sources and other sources known to you.
We like him.
Welcome... you'll love everyone here. They are the best folks you could ever want to have as friends!
thanks for the welcomes, everyone. I’ll just lurk for a while and see what’s going on.
Who’s everybody for in Super Bowl. Since the Cowboys are out of it, I’ve decided Green Bay is my team. I like the quarterback.
Good Morning!
