Good evening everybody. Has there been any word on whether Congresswoman Giffords had security with her (I assume she did!) ....and if so, were they involved in the take-down of the perp?
Were they even armed?
The Arizona Tragedy and the Politics of Blood Libel / Glenn ReynoldsTo be clear, if you're using this event to criticize the "rhetoric" of Mrs. Palin or others with whom you disagree, then you're either: (a) asserting a connection between the "rhetoric" and the shooting, which based on evidence to date would be what we call a vicious lie; or (b) you're not, in which case you're just seizing on a tragedy to try to score unrelated political points, which is contemptible. Which is it?
Barb and I spent most of yesterday revamping our cable and network connections. We have successfully put a new, quad-outlet in the wall behind the TV on its own, separate breaker. That will allow all of the entertainment center components and the Comcast box and wireless router to run under generator power if we lose power.
The cable box and wireless router are now up in the living rooms and as a result, I have excellent signal strength in the shop. Of course, the fax line is screwed up. I am rewiring the telepone jacks in the house to clean up that problem. I have the finish work to do downstairs and a network line to run to the office for Barb's printer, but we made a good first start.
Next, we need to clear the wireless router and totally initiate a new, fresh start on the network so that we can share files and printers.
Life goes on, but I am really getting fed up with the hypocracy of the leftist media regarding the shootings in Arizona.
