Happy New Year.. Lets hope it is a better year for SciFi in general. I thought the new Dr Who Christmas special was great.

V could have been so much better.

Is that show any good? It's a netflix suggestion for me.
Well, I guess it must be good since you said it was... :) It was a long New Years eve weekend!

Don't count on it. Stargate Universe and Caprica are already gone and I don't see much good coming out in the near future.
I fact I bet V is canceled pretty quick.
Beware of any good show on Fox or SyFy. It will get canceled by default.

I liked the premiere. Glad it is back and hope it will get a decent resolution.

I watched "No Ordinary Family" and thought it was pretty good. It's a real life "Incredibles". Kind of fun.
"V" is driving my nuts like "Lost" did. Five minutes of show and cut to a commercial.

Hi, all:
The Doctor Who Christmas Carol was much better than I had expected. Keeping the Dickens' flavor alive while adding some very clever twists around Michael Gambon. Who I've admired since his days as Maigret and The Singing Detective.
Hoping the new and hopefully not too 're-tooled' 'V' fares better in its new season than last.
Jack.

What station was the Christmas special on?
I recently watched every season over agin on Netflix but it's never on Sci Fi (Sy Fy, Bah!) anymore.

A few weeks back, TCM ran their SciFi movie makers interview piece.
I believe it was Spielberg that said he felt cheated (as a youngster)
after the movie, not seeing what the Krell really looked like, since
the film teased him with the doorway architecture. "What did the
creature look like that would need that shape of a doorway?" A
trapezoid, iirc.
