I looked to the article in vain for any inkling of what a GMO is. What are we talking about here?
Did I skim too fast and miss it, or am I just the last to know?

Genetically Modified Organism.
The EU countries have been crying over what they perceive to be potential health dangers. none of which have ever presented themselves since GMO’s have been entering the food chain over 4 decades ago.

You have to go to the very end to find two references to GMO’s. This is odd because to effectively communicate with another person, the have to be on the same page. English bored me but even I know you spell is out before you abbreviate.
