Kramer: Yo-yo Ma!

Jerry: What? Yo-yo Ma?

Kramer: What about him?

Jerry: You just said ‘Yo-yo Ma’.

George: What’s Yo-yo Ma?

Jerry: He’s a cellist. You should see a doctor today.

“wow!”

She is an angel. And Obamanista or not, the man can play. It is my favorite cut from my favorite Christmas album. Merry Christmas.

"Obamanista or not, the man can play."

I decided long ago that, with very rare exceptions, I would not confuse the political ideologies of artist and entertainers with their public talents. Yo Yo Ma is a brilliant cellist. Krauss's voice is ethereal.

Back in my single (divorced) days in 91, my friend from Connecticut invited me to a Bluegrass festival up there and AK and Union Station were playing - very small venue outside - maybe couple’thousand people, and I thought - wow - what a hottie with a gorgeous voice. Well later in the afternoon, I had the pleasure of saying hi to her and her blonde band-member as we crossed paths walking in the woods. Who’d a think years later what a sensation she’d be - I totally enjoy her singing - and watching her perform every note.

The drone of the ‘cello and bagpipes make such a delicious background for her angelic voice.

Thank you!

I’ve been a big fan of Krauss since the early 90’s. She’s an angel on earth when she sings.

I’ve been to a couple of her outdoor concerts in Hanford, CA. They’re outdoor because she’s way too popular for the small theater in Hanford. Allison Krauss and Vince Gill are my two favorite voices.

Alison Krauss - “The Boxer” - amazing!

I've always said that the top hits of the past being performed by other artists are just cheap photocopies by hacks with no originality or song writing abilities.

I will make an exception, this rendition of "The Boxer" is equal to the original...........

Steve Gadd on drums, too!

His solo on “Aja” with Wayne Shorter remains electrifying to this day!
