In this animation it's in the first frame only.
And still now at 11:30 EST on accuweather.com that hole/void is still there.

Radar Operator: Colonel, you better have a look at this radar.
Colonel: What is it, son?
Radar Operator: I don’t know, sir, but it looks like a giant—
Jet Pilot: Dick! Dick, take a look out of starboard.
Co-Pilot: Oh my God, it looks like a huge—
Bird-Watching Woman: Pecker!
Bird-Watching Man: [raising binoculars] Where?
Bird-Watching Woman: Over there. What sort of bird is that? Oh goodness, it’s not a bird, it’s—
Army Sergeant: Privates! We have reports of an Unidentified Flying Object. It has a long, smooth shaft, complete with—
Baseball Umpire: Two balls! [looking up from game] What is that? It looks just like an enormous—
Colonel: Johnson!
Radar Operator: Yes, sir?
Colonel: Get on the horn to British Intelligence and let them know about this.

Forget Montana, OMG look at those big blue blobs just now coming down from Canada onto Indiana and Ohio!

You can see the loop here on the first frame again.
And there appears to be a massive void in that part of the continent.
Agree totally that this was +22,000 miles up in orbit.

Sometimes you’ll see streaks over a hundred miles long. Those are sometimes meteors; other times they’re just noise.

Still there... gotta be the mothership. Or the biggest weather ballon on record... or Michael Moore.

Nice catch.
So the question begs was it a weather phenom that was picked up by two separate satellites (or more) or was it the same feed to other sources.
Where the hell is Algore when you need him.
