“The kingdom of this world has become the Kingdom of our God, and of His Christ!” No, that wouldn’t fly where I live, near DC. The place is full of Muslims and atheists who have full-time jobs looking for things to be offended about.
That brought tears to my eyes. Thanks.
“That brought tears to my eyes.”
Yup - welcome to the club. I liked how the singers raised their hands at the end. They were filled with joy. It was in Niagara Ontario or the other side of Niagara Falls.
The one at Macy’s wasn’t a surprise to anyone. It was a wonderful scene nonetheless. The one in Toronto, while not truly a “flashmob” was a surprise for everyone not involved with the choral group. Both were quite enjoyable
LOL
ROFLMAO!

>>I’m confused now. I thought all of these were planned. It is the standard unknowing audience that is not in on it. Right???? Did you think that all those talented people just happened to be there by accident?<<
I think that is the “controversy.” In the early days of instant messaging and the like, “flash mobs” were assembled from people who were several stages removed from one another to do silly and impromptu things — like do “the Monster Mash” in a park or something like that.
The quality and precision of this was more like a well preplanned choir which has clearly sung together many times in the past saying “let’s all go to the mall and pretend we are strangers” event.
It is OK but certainly not impromptu.
I see no harm done but am trying to keep a little honesty in the mix.
i haven’t watched it yey, but cool. i love Handel’s Messiah.
Absolutely heart warming!
Yes I know it is the Wanamaker organ. The flash mob in Canada just had an older lady at a synthesizer. Alternatively, you could get a sampler, which is really a synthesizer, with a sample of the organ at Lincoln Cathedral in Lincolnshire in England.
A small PA system, a stand, a chair, a good synth or sampler and you are a lot closer than you can imagine to having the Wanamaker on aisle 3 of Home Depot where Joe Biden is a regular. .
