This apparently was in Canada. Anything done like this in say an Obama banks like The JP Morgue Chase or slimy Buffett's Wachovia-Wells Fargo or in Obama-Saudi America would mean certain jail time.

The people at the mall were pretty shocked.

The way I understand it, from one of the many many books I’ve read while other people do mindless things: one of those singers has an Arab cousin. Watching this video supports jihad and terrorism.

No need to see it here. I’ve got it at least three times on E mail. Watched it every time and enjoyed it every time. The other “flash” concert was the one in ? looks like grand central station but not sure. They did the song from “The sound of Music” Doe a dear a female deer etc. etc. many singers and they danced to theirs.

I think there is an Interwebz controversy on whether this was a true “flash mob.”

When the “mob” deferred to a couple of soloists at different passages I knew this was not spontaneous at all: it was planned.

But it was an excellent rendition, even if a little less than honest.

Who really cares if it is a true flash mob. Most of the things flash mobs do is stupid and fairly pointless. As you said it was an excellent rendition. The other one in Philly at the Macy’s was a not as spontaneous but reminds people the reason of the season. A lot better thank flash skateboarders or people singing shoe tunes or idiots who miss glee club.

Yeah I loved it. I am amazed how good it sounded with the organ and the acoustics in a mall.

i don't think they could be arrested for that... i would love to be surprised by a flash mob... but i guess i would have to actually be in a mall or such during this time of year... i tend to be an online shopper during the holidays...

Sorry if I sounded harsh. I think it would be hard to make it truly flash. The performance was outstanding along with acoustics and recording. The people in the mall enjoyed it.

Yes, or hate speech. Wasnt’ the Bible deemed to be hate speech in Canada? Considering Handel’s “Messiah” is full of Biblical verses, it must be hateful!!!

Not harsh — your underlying point that it was a great performance is really what we should all take away.

I wish I had been there: I think I could have held my own in the chorus as a baritone :)

I don’t see how this is any different and why people would question if it was a true flash mob.

I guess we could devolve the discussion into what a “flash mob” is. MUI that it a spontaneous event of people who are given a place, time and action. I am pretty sure it doesn’t include “John Yates will solo on refrain 7” and those types of specifics.

But what the heck, it is awfully nice to listen to and was a great treat for the shoppers.

Yes. I am not sure what this purist definition of flash mobs are. I guess people are supposed to be you get alerted to show up spontaneously. ??? I think most of the time they are done.

This takes a bit more planning to do Handel's Messiah. Maybe not purely a flash mob but the shoppers at both locations were suprised and I wish I had been at both. I mean - I have to put up with awful Christmas songs for cash like Obama pals Gloria Estefan or Bruce Springsteen singing awful “Christmas songs” to line their pockets more.

I wish when i am in Lowes or Target or anywhere during Christmas - this would happen. How controversial - Christmas songs actually about Christ. Versus Springsteen singing about getting drunk at Christmas down on the Jersey shore. I guess Christians now can only sing Christmas songs in public undercover as "flash mobs" now or we will get dragged off to the gulag.
