‘Ted Cruz supported investigating the MS runoff results.’
— impy.

In post 1130, Rodguy builds on an assumption that Cruz was neck-deep in the taking out of multiple tea party candidates.

For those who wish I ping more, Sunkenciv is a powerhouse. A good ping list to be on. And no big deal to ask back off that ping later.

A foolish assumption. The purpose of the NRSC is to elect Republicans to the Senate (over democrats), a noble and extremely necessary purpose.

Now unfortunately they’ll almost always back an incumbent against any primary challenger but the suggestion that anyone and everyone involved with the organization is responsible or complicit in any dirty dealings is ridiculous. While his role with the committee is probably why he didn’t endorse McDaniel in the primary, he didn’t endorse Cochran either. He didn’t endorse Lamar Alexander, he didn’t endorse John Cornyn from his own state even though Cornyn’s challenger was the highly questionable Steve Stockman.

McDaniel obviously does not put any blame on Ted Cruz, lest he wouldn’t be co-chairing his MS campaign.

Joe Carr (TN) is another worthy Tea Party challenger (who was defeated by incumbent Alexander) who has endorsed Cruz.

We should be THANKING Senator Cruz for his role in kicking that mobster Harry Reid back to the MINORITY post where he belongs. Trump gave money to Reid himself in 2010, to attack Cruz for being Vice Chair of the NRSC in order to prop up Trump is the very height of absurd irony.

As for the debate, I look forward to a Trump free debate. His shameful birther screed at the last one was the low point of the entire campaign. If that’s the crap he wants to talk about instead of the issues, he’s well rid of. I’ve had enough BS theater, game time is over.
