Hi Amy, the dog looks like my poor Piper. But the song made me smile. It is getting easier to deal with her being gone & Sassy is getting one of her pups for Christmas so we will still have a bit of Piper. Her mate seems less depressed too. Merry Christmas! Hugs & prayers, Pandy

Oh, now that is precious! One of the nice things about winter is, once again, seeing the pretty graphics at Amy’s Place with the falling snow. I love it!
I managed to get some annoying malware on my computer and am having an awful time getting rid of it. Finally, after fighting it all day, JK found a website that has a malware remove program. I have downloaded it and it is currently scanning my hard drives. It has located “7 infected objects”. I am hoping, once the scan is complete, it will remove them and I will be malware free. This has been a real pain to deal with. :-(

Good morning Amy & all the Poets, artists, lovely ladies & gents who frequent this thread. Can not believe it is December already.
I plan to be on the road starting on the 10th of Dec & will be gone just under a month. Will visit some Freepers & family & friends on my southern swing thru NC, SC, Ala, Miss & La. Dont think I will get to Texas before Christmas, but always a chance for a few days after New years before I return to Ohio. My base of operations for Christmas will be with my brother in Oklahoma City
Let me be the first to dust off & hang my "Billie ornament" on the Just Amy tree here.

I’m in love and would follow that precious dog anywhere!
We needed this calm, serene and beautiful scene this morning, the first day of December. Love the music, too! Thanks, Billie!
Can’t wait to do a ‘snow falling’ graphic. Hope I remember...LOL!

Hi Lori, nice to see you this morning. Sorry your ‘puter’ is sick and hope it recovers quickly. I am running mighty slow on FR this morning. Its been slow in getting my replies to go through!
I agree on that beautiful opening this morning. The softly falling snow calms the mind, doesn’t it?
See you later! (((Hugs)))

A Crutch?
December 1, 2010
Have you ever heard skeptics say that the Christian faith is nothing more than a crutchthat the only reason people claim to trust Jesus is that they are weaklings who have to make up religion to get by?
Apparently those skeptics havent heard about the doctor in one Far Eastern country who spent 2 ½ years in jail being reeducated because he professed faith in Christ. Then, after his release, he was arrested againthis time for his efforts at his church.
And perhaps those skeptics havent heard about Paul. After trusting Christ, he was arrested, flogged, mocked, and shipwrecked (2 Cor. 11:16-29).
These believers were not looking for a crutch. No, they had something deep and essential in their hearts. They had a personal relationship with Goda relationship born of faith in the work of Jesus on the cross. As a result, they became children of the Kingeager to sacrifice everything for the privilege of proclaiming Him. They were not limping along looking for something to hold them up.
A crutch? Hardly. Faith in Christ is not about safety and caution. Its about believing Jesus and trusting Him no matter what. Its about taking up a daily cross (Luke 9:23) and living for the Savior.
Take up your cross, the Savior said,
If you would My disciple be;
Take up your cross with willing heart
And humbly follow after Me. Everest
