Parents Attack Carjacker to Save Their Baby
They were standing just a few yards away, talking to family in the final hours of a long road trip, when a man jumped into their idling car at a Kansas City, Mo., gas station and sped off with their 6-month-old daughter strapped in the back seat.
Their hearts pounding, Melanie and Aaron Richman ran. She was able to grab onto the passenger side and smash the window with her elbow. He somehow pulled himself inside the car and started punching and kicking the carjacker.

I just watched it a second time, and STILL don’t see what makes the parents into the bad guys here.
I’m with you. Obviously they weren’t five yards away given the speed with which that Mama Grizzly was Spiderman on that window.
Certainlythey are heroes, the only one stupid was Tyrone the would be car thief.

I just figured everyone figured this out.
I’d say they learned a lesson.
It wasn’t stupidity but ignorance that caused them to drop their guard. When it comes to the police line of never chasing a bad guy what would have been their chances of getting their baby back in good condition if they had not given chase and just called 911?
I’m voting hero, too. Of course, I was dumb enough to go out this A.M. without body armor, though I’ve heard of drive-by shootings and even freeway snipers.

I'd say it's far more safer to stand outside my vehicle in Kansas City then anywhere in Brazil.....Here's something else you won't see "over here"

Ok, they foolishly let their guard down...but they most certainly showed heroic behavior in rescuing their baby.
Well, they were very close by, maybe they thought they could get out of the car at a gas station to talk to others traveling with them. Its not like they went into the store and left the baby in a running car. The blame belongs on the black car jacker, not the parents.
Too bad Dad was packing heat, would have been far easier than trying to fight the Amish car jacker.
I think it is a statement of fact, but that’s just me.
I am pretty sure that wasn’t Frank or Billy Joe.
Anyone who wants to just stand there while someone takes off with your 6 mo old kid in the car, you just go right ahead.

agreed...its a sorry commentary on society and its cruds and trash that such a crime would have to be anticipated. Only a few feed away...
Warmth, I hear it is cold up north something to do with winter time or something along those lines....
