Customer began fight over 7 cents and was beaten to death by store owner with a crowbar
Two convenience store employees have been arrested and charged with murder after they allegedly beat a customer to death with a crowbar over seven cents.
Ragheb Sulaiman, 24, and his younger brother, 19-year-old Nabil Sulaiman are being held in Miami-Dade County jail after they attacked Akil Larue Oliver after an argument turned violent Thursday night.
The incident happened at the Quick Stop Food Store located at 9720 SW 168th St.
Around 5:45 p.m., Oliver, 34, got into a shouting match with several store employees. At one point, witness claimed the angry customer began shouting racial slurs at the Sulaimans.
Akil Larue Oliver "The victim made many insulting statements including calling the clerk a 'f----- Arab,'" a police report stated. An off-duty police officer escorted Oliver out of the store, but the angry man came back and began insulting the store owners again. That's when he was hit with a bottle over the head by Nabil Sulaiman.
Ragheb Sulaiman eventually joined the attack and clocked Oliver over the head with a crow bar, which proved to be a death blow.
Police believe Oliver was upset because he felt he was short changed seven cents.
Nabil Sulaiman is charged with aggravated battery and his older brother is charged with second-degree murder.
It’s difficult to avoid doing business with them where I live, but I do avoid it.

I say...Maybe I misunderstood the intent of EGPWS, but I thought he was figuratively rolling his eyes at the "Captain Obvious" nature of the sentence he quoted from the article. Sort of like a news anchor saying "Police believe a man found with several knives in him had been stabbed".
Not a reflection on the police, but rather a reflection on the poor writing skills of the "journalist".

A convenience store that has been in business twenty or thirty years where I live was acquired by a Muslim a year or so ago. I went there a time or two afterward, but then the policy was changed to strictly pay-in-advance for gas. Haven't been back since, and would probably have stopped trading there anyway as the dude is fairly aloof and arrogant.

I say that he was snorting at the fact that police believed this guy for saying that he was shorted 7 cents and that it was ok for these muslims to kill the guy because of it, the snort was one of disbelief for the 7 cents story, it is palin in his sentence and I say again he can blow his snort up his a**, this was murder, plain and simple, murder because the murderers didn’t like what the murdered man was saying.
I wouldn’t find them guilty if I was on the jury. Dude started a fuss and was escorted out by police. He then came back and started trouble again. I would believe them if they claimed “fearing for their life”.

It’s technically illegal to discriminate against ethnic groups when renting in Japan, but historically Muslims, especially Pakistanis, find it almost impossible to get rentals in most parts of Tokyo now.
It’s always the same set of problems. One rents a place, 20 move in. The place is trashed, other renters (especially women) are harrassed, garbage piles up in the hallways, petty theft in the neighborhood skyrockets...
These days, the places where they can rent are all Yakuza affiliated, so they don’t dare try their usual games. The Yak tends to take care of their problems quietly — but firmly.

Suliman may win in a criminal case but he is going to have a hard time explaining to jury in a civil case why he killed a man over 7c
