Facebook "Like" is Appearing on every page, what's up with that?

I just noticed this.
Why is the Facebook "Like" icon now appearing on every page I go to? Is FR now connected in some way to Facebook?

That code will not execute on page load. It’s a link. The js code does not execute until you click it. Ok. Here's a test for you. Tell us what the source url of the "like/count" image you see? Is it an img load from the browser html, or an image object from the javascript execution engine? Where/how does the "count" number get rendered? Did I have to click on any of it to have that happen?
Javascript executes immediately when you open the page. What it does or does not do is up to the script author.

The idea of ANY site is to get more traffic. Free Republic wants more people to spread the word and at the same time to get more donations to keep the site running.
Your problem is that you can't see both Free Republic and Conservative blogs seek the same exact result.
Or maybe you do realize such but then your little claim to fame as "Blog Pimp policeman" would be deemed non-essential and you would thusly lose your "attention-whore" status on Free Republic.

I just wonder how much $$$ Jim Rob is receiving in advertizing fees from Facebook?
And if he is OK with shilling for Facebook, will other forms of advertising be far behind?

He’s not SHILLING for anyone and if he DOES accept advertising it might be because each FReepathon is taking longer and longer and longer and longer and longer......

I don’t use firefox, I just have prefetch disabled in the registry...I have never and still don’t see any like buttons on FR threads.
