Nope. Nor any of the "Planet of the Apes" films (thank G-d).
BTW, does anyone else think it's about time for a sequel to Close Encounters?

I would put Alien #1, Blade Runner 3 and The Matrixx 4.
Alien is also partially a horror movie. The beginning is great with the ship the Nostromo steaming ahead like a huge haunted house.
As Gary Oldman as Dr. Smith says in the remake of Lost in Space - “nothing good will come of this.” You just know bad things are going to happen on this doomed ship.

I liked it, but I haven’t read the book.
It was campy.

I would consider Star Wars I (1977) to be the greatest science fiction film of all time, but I don’t even see it on the list.

16: Starship Troopers Great book (Heinlein, of course), but I heard the movie was very disappointing. Anyone like it? Great book ... really awful movie, but I just love it! I can't help but watch it whenever it's on. It's stupid, but a lot of fun.
To: Mr. Mojo
I liked the first of the Starship Troopers movies. Paul Verhooven is a great director. Not really the book, but one does get the sense of a militarized society.
Personally, I was glad it was on the list.
