Yep, for the most part.

“Wheel in the Sky” (from ‘78) was a good song, but that’s about it.

Naah. Journey, like Foreigner, REO and Asia appeals to both.

I remember listening to them back during my elementary school years(early to mid 80s). I think they were one of my first favorite bands.

I like Journey. I can’t stand REO, Asia or Foreigner. Saw Journey and Foreigner at the same concert in the 80’s and the drummer for Foreigner fell off his stool twice he was so drunk.

Good band. Drummer was killer, but extremely understated. Steve Perry is widely acclaimed to have one of the greatest voices in rock history. Had nodes and back problems which basically broke up the band. I’d take those guys in my band any day of the week. Don’t care for Schoen-—didn’t like him with Santana either.

With the exception of a couple of songs, Foreigner is a massive whipping. The saving grace for them is that one of their members wrote the soundtrack for "Still Crazy", a very underrated British movie from the late 90s.

If you like 70s rock, it's a great flick.

A lot of times, re-releases and remasters aren't quite as good as the original. We want to hear the original.

Anyway, good to hear that an artist is happy with the new way of distributing songs... “online mp3.” At least I think that he is... the results speak for themselves.

Apple figured out how to make it work after Napster.

In addition to Don’t Stop Believin’...

Separate Ways

Any Way You Want It

Be Good to Yourself

Ask the Lonely

Only the Young

Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin’

Faithfully

Who’s Crying Now

Lights

Open Arms

Girl Can’t Help It

Send Her My Love

Wheel in the Sky

I’ll Be Alright Without You

Neil Schoen has a wicked cover of “Oh Come Emmanuel.”

We were all a bunch of heavy metal hillbillies in my neck of the woods. At that time we were mostly listening to Ronnie Dio, Ozzy Osbourne, Alice Cooper etc.

Look, I’m sure he’s great. Just not my cup of tea. I’m not a huge Van Halen fan, either. But I’m a drummer. What do I know? My favorite guitarists are Jim McCarty (Cactus, Mitch Ryder); Clapton; Hendrix; and to me #1 of all time is Jeff Beck, bar none.

I’m sure Schon had his doubts when Perry pulled the plug.

You like Journey but don’t like “Only Time Will Tell” and “Heat Of The Moment” by Asia?

The problem with iTunes is how scrubbed the music is. Everything is the same volume, vocals, keys, guitar, bass.

Great taste in guitarists. Phil Keaggy is one of my favorite guitarists.

Yep, bands like Journey and Bon Jovi are kings with the 40-something House Frau set.
