DWTS Season 11 enters its eighth week of competition tonight (Nov 8) and thus, the Bristol Palin enigma continues.
'Bristol the Pistol' has taken aim & shot down better qualified & much more fiercely talented candidates in her quiet wake to win the coveted mirror ball trophy.
But the burning question remains: how does Palin continue to linger on the competition & stir the ire of many DWTS fans who view the show as a talent (not popularity) contest?
While continually scoring at or near the bottom of the Judge's leader board since the onset of Season 11, Palin has somehow beat out competitors who have outscored and outperformed her, i.e., Florence Henderson, Rick Fox, and even Mike The Situation Sorrentino who exited the show at Week 4.
But what is really at the crux of the Bristol Palin matter is not the fact that Palin continues to receive enough votes to stay on DWTS. That part is evident.
The real question is why & where those votes come from. That is, are those votes generated by Sarah Palin supporters, or are they cast because people really like Bristol?
Hopefully, it's because people truly like 'Alaska's Favorite Daughter', find her refreshing and just want to see her win because of who she is.

Goodnight everyone! See you next week!
Carrie Ann is a bit@h, and everyone knows it.
well will look forward to the thread next week. thx again for providing them.
Thx for the threads!
I was telling my children this a few months ago. Variety shows would be a big hit about now.
Anna is one of my favorite Pros. She is a great dancer and choreographer. I am glad she got paired with Kurt.
This Paso still remains one of my favorites with Evan

Dad and I were discussing the “vote” for Bristol and how her mother’s popularity was contributing to it.
He says it’s a shot across the bow for the liberals and GOP leaders....They better pay attention.
Bristol simply has not been the worst dancer on any given night and has deserved to stay this long.
Next week, Kyle or Bristol will be gone. Brandi and Jennifer are easily the two best remaining dancers and I hope Brandi wins it all.
You’re very welcome!
It's actually been a lot of fun to participate in it...:)
Bristol & Mark’s Tango is my favorite dance out of all the dances by all the dancers since the show started. I still love to just go and play that video and admire the beauty of the dance.
I love your Dad. He’s a very smart man with a daughter to match.
That she is,but sometimes she softens up and acts human, Maks never seems to be pleasant.
I loved Cuda’s speech tonight, didn’t you Onyx?
ACCIDENTALLY went to CNN during FNC/DWTS commercial and had the misfortune to listen to The Cheater, Spitzer.
What a smarmy, mean spirited ugly man.
Just got home. Dancing with the stars is on. Did I see correctly in posts that Bristol and Mark are safe?
i think some big named performer in Vegas or Branson Mo. could get the ball rolling. Andy Williams is about 84, but he once had a variety Show with the Osmonds on it. Donny Osmond would be a great host.
;)
Yes, she is fantastic and so good with him. Maybe we will bring Musicals back in vogue, DWTS is sure very popular.
If Bristol goes next week, I am going to dedicate all my votes to Brandy. She is a quality dancer, and she is not a whiner.
Kurt and Anna will be going home, Bristol and Mark will be back next week.
