He is a REAL American! I got to HUG him at the Ft. Lauderdale tea party!

The loser Klein tried so many dirty tricks to keep him out.

But WE THE PEOPLE know better!

I can’t under states like Mass and Cali voted decry the high taxes, but keep putting the tax and spenders back in office.

What a FANTASTIC night for Republicans in Tennessee!! These are state seats. Tennessee has gained 14 seats in the House and 1 in the Senate. For the first time in history, Republicans control the House, Senate with a Republican Governor!! Congrats to all our candidates. :)

It Can Never Happen To Me
November 3, 2010

Actor Christopher Reeve was para- lyzed in a horseback riding accident in 1995. Prior to this tragedy, he had played the part of a paraplegic in a movie. In preparation, Reeve visited a rehabilitation facility. He recalled: “Every time I left that rehab center, I said, ‘Thank God that’s not me.’ ” After his accident, Reeve regretted that statement: “I was so setting myself apart from those people who were suffering without realizing that in a second that could be me.” And sadly, for him, it was.

We too may look at the troubles of others and think that it could never happen to us. Especially if our life journey has led to a measure of success, financial security, and family harmony. In a moment of vanity and self-sufficiency, King David admitted to falling into the trap of feeling invulnerable: “Now in my prosperity I said, ‘I shall never be moved’” (Ps. 30:6). But David quickly caught himself and redirected his heart away from self-sufficiency. He remembered that he had known adversity in the past and God had delivered him: “You have turned for me my mourning into dancing” (v.11).

Whether He has brought us blessing or trial, God still deserves our gratitude and trust.

I can always count on God, my heavenly Father,
For He changes not; He always is the same;
Yesterday, today, forever, He is faithful,
And I know He loves me, praise His holy name. —Felten

In good times and bad, our greatest need is God.

Read: Psalm 30:6-12

Now in my prosperity I said, “I shall never be moved.” —Psalm 30:6
Bible in a year:
Jeremiah 30-31; Philemon

Was a tolerable good day yesterday. Would like to have taken the Senate as well but didn’t really expect to and in the mean time they are certainly not filibuster proof.

The Republicans took control of the Alabama Legislature for the first time in 136 years and Alabama House district 5 elected the first Republican to the U.S. Congress in 130 years. Parker Griffith changed to Republican but he was elected two years ago as a Democrat so Mo Brooks is the first Republican elected in 130 years.

I should have said to the U.S. House instead of Congress since we have been electing Republican Senators for several years and the Senate is part of the Congress.

Good Morning Kitty Mittens! I so agree with you about the disappointing results in NV and DE! In due time !!! But for now we must move forward now with the fresh house!

But I'm Gagging, too, because Harry Reid Won Re-Election; I So Wanted him and Several Other Especially Revolting Dims to Go Down in Flames of Defeat.

Hi, Polly!

I do not believe that Harry Reid won honestly. Many people were reporting that an X appeared by his name at the machines, and even though they tried to vote for Angle, the X stayed by Reid! THEN, it was exposed that he (and his backers) were giving free food and cigarettes to people to get their vote! BOTH of those are AGAINST THE LAW! Why isn’t anybody looking into that?

Personally, I think Angle won - but Reid was so desparate, he would do ANYTHING (legal or illegal) to keep his seat!

Well, his bed-buddy (Pelosi) will be outta there - and he is bound to face some major opposition to everything he does from this point on! I don’t think many have respect for him at all.

Doesn’t it seem odd, that the NV would re-elect that man, when they have the highest unemployment rate in the NATION???

(Sorry about Brown and Boxer...........)

When we see suffering, plight or distress, we often are so moved as to turn away rather than to show mercy, give aid and help, telling our self as did Christopher Reed, ‘Thank God it is not me.’

Truly, in the world there are much sufferings and needs. We are to render to others as we would have them do for us in the same circumstance.

Sunday as I arrived in the church parking lot ... there was this lady on a bicycle, (I had noticed her before on Sunday mornings). She waited behind my car for me to get out of the car. She said I have been sleeping out back of a business, can you give me $10.00 to get a room? I said ‘the benevolence office is across the street ... they will help you.’ she said they are not there now. She was about 45 or so, thin, and asking for help. I said I would rather arrange for you a room than give you the money, to which she said I am hungry too. I said, see you have changed your story. ... there are associate pastors in the church that will help you. Yet I could not turn away from her having done nothing. I gave her $10.00, blessed her and said please do not use this to hurt yourself. She said, ‘when we bless others we receive a blessing.’ I did not feel good about it either way.

I know the reality is she is making bad choices all the time. Can we imagine what it would be like to be alone in the world, and to have nothing? ... Usually it is s persons own fault. It is a vicious cycle.
Her name is Judy. Let us pray for Judy.

Hi Billie! I’m really glad you shared the rattlesnake story! We all do LOVE our animals and would do anything to make sure they are cared for, and protect them as much as possible. We all do have stories, but the bottom line is to keep our little one’s (or big one’s, LOL!) as safe as possible. I’ve always felt our animals are like children that never grow-up, but get older!!

What Do Women Do All Day?

Every minute, to' and fro'
That's the way my hours go
Bring me this, and bring me that
Feed the dog, take out the cat
Standing up, I eat my toast
Drink my coffee, thaw the roast
Empty the garbage, make the bed
Rush to church, wash my head
Sweep the kitchen, wax the floors
Scrub the woodwork, clean the doors
Scour the bathtub, then myself
Vacuum carpets, straighten shelves
Eat my sandwich, on the run
Now, my afternoon's begun
To the baseball game I go
When will there be time to sew?
Meet the teacher, stop the fight
See the dentist, fly a kite
Help with homework, do the wash
Iron the clothes, put on the squash
Shop for groceries, cash a check
Fight the crowds, now I'm a wreck
Dinnertime, it soon will be
"Whats for dinner?" they ask
Wait, and see
Dirty dishes, crowd the sink
Next, there's popcorn, then a drink
Will they never go to bed?
Will I ever get ahead?
"Bring me water." "Get the light."
Turn off the TV, lock the bike
"Where's my pillow?" "Hear my prayers."
"Did you lock the door downstairs?"
At last in bed, my spouse, and I
Too tired to move, too weak to cry
But, whenever I doze, I hear him say
"What do women do all day?"

Happy Birthday, Jim.
Wish we were also celebrating the defeat of Reid and Boxer.
I'm ready to leave this miserable state, any suggestions? :)

Wishing you the happiest birthday ever.

Since it is still morning here, I'll wish everyone a Good Morning.
I went back to bed after getting Marissa on the bus this morning.

I'm still hoping for some good news for California and the Central Valley.
A winner has not been declared for our district.
Andy Vidak is about 1000 votes ahead of Jim Costa.
All of the votes are suppose to be in.
I haven't heard whether the holdup is absentee ballots or a recount.

Please keep your fingers crossed for Andy.
He is a good guy and will work to get water back to our farmers.

Okay .... time to get off my rant and wish everyone a Warm Fuzzy Wednesday. :)

I have mixed emotions this morning. I’m so happy with the election nationwide but ... I’m in a Bah Humbug mood when looking at the California results.

How many more years can I take this liberal state? The only people that will be left here are the takers. When all the payers leave, what will it be?

Congrats to the people of Tennessee!

Wishing you a Warm Fuzzy Wednesday.
