Fans of the San Diego Charges, Detroit Lions and Oakland Raiders will miss their teams on TV tomorrow as the teams failed to sell out the stadiums by the Thursday deadline.
This brings the number of NFL blackouts to 13 for the season which is more than half of last year's 22 with 60 percent of the games still to be played.

Overpriced tickets and overpaid mouth breathers. NFL dishing out all the cash to Dems, hope they go out of business.
NBA lost $800 million last year.
Indeed. Most expensive ticket in town.
screw the NFL.
pay a ton of money to hang out with drunk, cussing wannabe gang guys? No thanks.
Not to mention games decided by a legal system and crappy officials parsing increasingly stupid rules designed to make the NFL a non-contact sport. It is getting really lame, not even considering that the league is run by Bolsheviks.
“NBA lost $800 million last year.”
I used to watch but then realized that unless you are a 15 y/o ghetto rat, the NBA really isn’t targeting you as an audience.
Since most stadiums are paid for by the taxpayers, why aren’t the tickets to the games free to anyone who can prove that he is a net taxpayer that “contributed” money to these playgrounds?
A narcissistic showcase of both potential and convicted felons if ever there was one.
The NFL treats its customers (the fans) like crap only most of them are too stupid to realize it. I’m a big football fan but I’m starting to go away from the NFL due to the over-priced tickets, excessive TV time-outs, and leftist positions (barring Limbaugh from being a part-owner, donations to left-wing politicians) to name a few. Couple that with the “Rollerball” mentality exhibited by such morons as Pittsburgh’s James Harrison and I believe that fans will start to turn away.
Will they all go away?? No, but I hope that enough of them will to make the league change its course.

Great game last week, too. One for the ages.
Given the fan base of the NFL is men and men vote GOP more than women, the NFL moves to:
1. allow their commissioner to smear Limbaugh when trying to become a minority owner of a team while accepting rappers,
2. make the game more female, by limiting the defense from hitting,
3. putting their games on NBC with Olbermann on the pre-game for many years and a “green” broadcast
could only be expected to chase off some of their fan base. Their fan base is not NYC liberals. They need to fire the NYC commisioner and really move their offices out of NYC.
All the teams you listed are either slightly below mediocre to outright pathetic. They don’t sell out for a reason. Don’t blame NFL rules, blame the teams for putting such slop on the field and the fan base for finding better things to do w/ their time and money.
Honestly, if your team is under .500 in nearly half way through the season probably better to find something more productive to do w/ your time. Either that or go to the game. I’m sure you can find cheap tix.
Both leagues are in lock-out mode next year. The owners will still receive 4 billion regardless of a strike or not so no nFL next year. The NBA has a new rule called the “communist” rule after the rule that states that you can NEVER make faces, or even talk to a referee and automatic $2K fine. I’d like the Lakers to lose in the Finals then go on lockout..that would be sweet.
Maybe its me, but the overall product seems to be really lacking. I am not a huge football fan, but must say I enkoy what mlb puts out much better than the nba or nfl.
I like the nhl too.
Almost all of the Jaguar home games were blacked out last year. Been talk of them moving because of it. But realistically, one has to wonder if another city (like LA) will want a losing team. Instead of looking at their internal personnel problems and adjusting accordingly, they threaten to move the team in order to coerce more fans to buy tickets.
Times are hard. If I had money to spare, I’d probably go to a few games, win or lose, but I don’t have the money to spare...So.. screw em. It’s almost like extortion...lol.
To hell with them.
The NFL can bite me.
