no--i do not suck... Beat LA! oh yeah... they aren't in the World Series...
I think Jerry will have a hard time filling his shrine stadium for the remainder of the season.
I with you on the Yankees & Red Sox, but there's only been 1 Chicago team in the World Series in the last 50 years I think.
Thanks for this. Will check it out.
Wow... I would be outraged! What the heck is up with Cablevision and Fox? Can you switch to Verizon in time for most of the World Series?
Thank goodness we have tonight "off" from our political activities. We've been busy lately... ;-)
Bookmarking this thread; also am pinging some people who were on our NLCS, ALCS thread (is the person who started this—La Enchiladita —doing a ping every game or just now?) I’ll put this thread in my favorites anyway.
I haven’t looked into it yet...what I really am pissed about is not being able to watch “House” on Monday nights. I was hoping for arbitration by now, it’s been two weeks.
Timmy and .... Timmy?
I just saw today that Dish Network might be dropping Fox.
I’m sure there’s a thread on this; so many services dropping Fox can’t be a coincidence.
Dodgers fans are the best in baseball.
And a Dodgers fan attending the game in San Fran is one of the gutsiest things a person can do!!
LOL.
News Corp.s Fox Broadcasting already blacked out coverage from Fox broadcast stations of the National League Championship Series carried by Cablevision due to an inability to reach a contract.
Fox plans to black out stations as of Nov. 1 for DISH subscribers if no deal is reached with that satellite provider by that date.
Both sides could reach deals in time to carry games, but subscribers at either or both would lose cable access if the two firms keep playing hard ball with the contracts and coverage.
LOL. I actually like the whole “Freak” shtick. Couple that with “The Beard” (Brian Wilson) and other characters on this team, well that should give those that don’t have a dog in this fight a good reason to jump on the SF bandwagon....imo.
If the Rangers continue with Nelson Cruz and Vlad Guerrero in their outfield when in San Francisco, it will eventually hurt them. Guerrero runs like Carlos Lee with bunyons and Cruz is perhaps the most inept outfielder I have seen since Cliff Johnson. He’s just not very handy with a glove. Decent wheels, good throwing arm but just horrible at catching fly balls.
I realize the Rangers want both players in the lineup for their bats but they are leaving themselves very vulnerable for outfield defense.
Great post! A caller to KNBR just replaced the “misfits” label with a “band of brothers.” I like that.
This Giants team has grit. Great game tonight (and I was rotting for the Rangers in the ALCS - I like them a lot, love Texas, but this is my team).
How ridiculous and what a pain! You may be able to catch "House" episodes on its website... I know many TV shows will run episodes after they've aired on TV.
Another FReeper said Fox may be dropped from the Dish Network next.
We have Cox Communications cable, and Fox froze up for quite a while tonight at 9:50pm. (Another CT Freeper had the same problem) I've never seen that happen before, and we've had Cox for over 10 years.
WHAT is going on with Fox??
I missed a lot of the game from 9:50pm on, so I caught the highlights in only a few minutes via the MLB Network. If "my team" (Red Sox) were in the World Series and I was missing the coverage, I'd go ballistic!
If the limping Yankees had made it, I would be with Verizon right now.
Ahem!!
You’re talking to a Dodgers fan here!!
Exactly. Why are they in negotiations NOW and why at such an impasse with the carriers??
On Facebook today, the Rangers fans are saying keep Vlad out of the lineup... maybe pinch-hitting, but no fielding.
