I’m happy for them. I thought the Yanks were playing Loser Ball when they issued two intentional walks in the 7th, and it backfired on them anyway.

Good Job Texas Rangers......I’m not a big fan but I am glad the Yankees were beaten.... Mike Gallagher will be elated on Monday!!
To: GeronL
...and it had to be A-Rod last at at. A strikeout of #13 make it extra sweet.

Hamilton gets the MVP award and all NY did was walk him.
LOL
Even Mrs. Autry commented on that — that the Yankees FEARED him.

Mike Gallagher will be elated on Monday!! Like the rest of us in the Metroplex, the Rangers have made us forget about the dismal you-know-whats. Did Gallagher have a bet going with Chris Wallace on this?

YES!!!!
I got a bit bleary eyed during that celebration.
Now I confess, I am a lifelong Tigers fan, and it was thrilling when they beat the Yankees a few years ago....but nothing compares to this. This team has totally won me over....and it would be a damn shame if now they don’t finish the job.

Here it is. [Eric Nadel ALDS clip] Thanks much! Let us know if you find the audio of the A-Rod at bat.
I've always been interested in radio play-by-play announcers since I grew up in the pre-TV era in Pittsburgh listening to Rosey Rowswell, Jim (Possum) Woods and, of course, Bob Prince.
Ironically, Eric Nadel hails from New York City. On the other hand, some of the great New York teams baseball announcer were Southerners like Mel Allen and the unforgettable Red Barber.

I’m thinking that a certain former Rangers owner - and also former President - should start practicing a first pitch...
And remember, Mr. President, in Texas we throw from the mound!
