If we see a full moon tonight here in the US, will there be a full moon on the other side of the world during their night-time? Do the people on the other side of the earth see the same moon phases we see here at night, when it is night-time over there? TIA.

After reading this thread I have no clue what the original question is/was.

The Earth doesn't revolve around the moon, either. Hence, the sarc tag.

Ah. I guess you're not familiar with Pink Floyd.

Actually, I am familiar. My original reply was a humorous take on Pink Floyd combined with a deliberately discombobulated lunocentric orbit, all wrapped up in gentle sarcasm.

Funny how that works, isn't it? Or perhaps not, in your case.

Probably a 10 year government funded study will be needed ;^)

If the pay is good count me in. Just tell me what you want to prove. :-)

Not to belabor the point, but that looks a lot more like a B-25.

Douglas A-26 Invader (which was renamed "B-26" after WWII when the Marauder fleet was retired, and then BACK to "A-26" during Vietnam).

Now that I look again, you are right. The B-25 had twin tails with a gunner back there.

Dont know if I would want to be in one of those (A-26) though. IIRC they were breaking up in flight due to wing fatigue/failure.

The ones that were kept in service and upgraded through Korea and Vietnam, all the while flying lots and lots of hours in aggressive low-level mission profiles, had those problems. Which is understandable (but not at all acceptable from a lost-aircrew perspective)

Overall, the Invader was an incredibly stout and robust aircraft (sorta like other Douglas products, like the A-1 Skyraider/Spad) and the restored ones flying today on the warbird circuit are in very good shape and will be for years to come so long as they get plenty of good care/feeding.

Becha that great visual didn’t help.

You got that right. It explains the phases but doesn't address the question.
Does a full moon (100%) happen instantaneously for a single geographic location?
Or does everyone around the world get a turn during one night?

There is no dark side of the moon really. As a matter of fact it's all dark.

The Earth doesn't revolve around the moon, either. Hence, the sarc tag.

To be astronomically correct, the earth-moon system revolves around their common center of gravity (aka center of mass). The center of mass of the earth-moon system lies at a point beneath the earth's surface about 2900km from the earth's center; that's about 75% of earth's radius.

For the above reason, the earth's orbit around the sun isn't a perfect ellipse - it has a wobble with a period of 28 days.

Lord, I love useless trivia!

You should take a gander at the swarm of ellipses present in a geocentric system a la Ptolemy. Even more fun is the wild, Etch-A-Sketch in the sky traced by the Moon and planets when viewed over time from a geostationary perspective.

LOL! I have taken the gander, and seen why the Ptolemaic system lies defunct on the far side Occam's razor from the surviving Galilean Model.
