'Happy Days' dad Tom Bosley dead at 83

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Tom Bosley, who protrayed the patient, understanding father on television's long-running "Happy Days," has died. He was 83.
Bosley's agent, Sheryl Abrams, says Bosley died of heart failure at 4 a.m. Tuesday.

For the first couple of years of the show it was the high-water mark of American Television. The American TV shows line-up would get no better following it, and would take a fast and deep slide into crap. There were some other individual shows that would pop up from time to time that were good like, Friends, Home Improvement, Sinfield, Cheers, but with the advent of multiple channels of cable and satellite, the magic of well written family TV shows was gone forever. Rest in Peace Mr. C

Probably because David Doyle, who looked a little bit like Tom Bosley, played Charlie Townsend’s assistant, John Bosley, on “Charlie’s Angels”.

:D Yes, it is one of my all time faves. My cat thinks it’s me whistling at the beginning and always runs in to watch it with me. lol
