Did any of you catch the episode? A 34 year old husband been eating cheeseburgers regularly since childhood? First of all,he looked about 60 years old. What makes this particular "Freaky Foods" episode so baffling was that the 260 Pound BurgerMan is Still Alive! If anyone ate fast food on a daily basis for even three months,it would likely kill them. The other story intermixed with Burgerman was about a 40 Something Lady who ate "Anything Sugar" hourly. Where was Michele Obama to the rescue? Isn't She Anti-Burger & Sweets?
Did you see South Park on Wednesday?
1. Meat
2. Veggies
3. Cereals/grains
4. Dairy
The Cheeseburger is the perfect food!
I have been doing paleo for about 4 weeks now. It’s actually really easy to avoid all grains once you are off them. Who knew? Grains (anything made with flour, rice, etc) make you want more of them. Once you don’t eat them, they lose their appeal.
I still love to eat, but my appetite has gone way down. And I am loving the meat, fish, eggs, some dairy, veggies, nuts, and fruit. There is plenty to eat.
my husband had a boss who had twinkies and coke for breakfast every morning. He died of colon cancer inhis mid 40’s
A boyhood friend of mine - an only child - lived in a one-parent household where absolutely no eating discipline was exercised. His mother indulged him shamelessly. There were no regular, family-style meals - instead, he was allowed to "help himself" to whatever was in the kitchen whenever he felt like it. And the kitchen was stocked exactly according to his personal preferences (lots of Coca-Cola, Fritos, etc.).
As a consequence, he has never eaten an olive in his life. Ditto seafood, most vegetables, etc. In other words: He has maintained all of the nutritional prejudices of a six-year-old ("Mushrooms! Yuck!"). His eating habits / mind-set essentially stopped evolving at age six.
In short: It's possible (and sad)!
Regards,
“he has never eaten an olive in his life.”
I can’t stand them. But why is it that olives are disgusting, but olive oil is delicious?
With her big booty? No, she's anti-your burger and sweets.
As a lot of the published pictures show, when she and 0 are on one of their frequent vacations, they and the kids are gobbling down sugary goop and lapping up ice cream.
Oh, but it's bad for you. You should stop.
I see she hasn't jumped on the anti-smoking bandwagon. That would be TOO obvious a target.
Nah. Food has to be much faster than that to kill you, at least mach 1.
Burger isn't really fast, being trapped in a bun.
My husband has a friend who has never eaten popcorn. Over the years it became some sort of personal discipline challenge for him.
Those tomato’s will get you every time.
I saw this. He was a big guy, but didn’t look 60.
They put a little processed gun to your head and...
Seriously, the secret to good health is asking oneself who is in charge of decision making - me or food? Am I really hungry - or just bored? Am I eating for good health and energy - or entertainment? But sometimes a radical change is a good way to regain control of your habits. Your diet sounds interesting and while I don't diet, I am always looking for more good habits to incorporate. So off to google...
Dinner is pretty much anything I want it to be but the breakfast and lunches described about are pretty regular.
Despite having mostly the same foods every day, I do feel pretty healthy. I also try to walk about least two hours each day, an hour in the morning and an hour after I get home from work (walking the dog). On weekend, we go hiking in woods for couple hours at a shot. In fact, getting ready to go in a few minutes to Groton state forest.
So I think it is possible for that guy to eat a cheeseburger every day and still be healthy. Though I wouldn't get the cheeseburger from a fast food place. I'd make it at home and try to have mushrooms, bacon and tomato with it.
Speaking of tomato, does anybody know the difference between knowledge and wisdom?
Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit; wisdom is not putting one in your fruit salad.
For the same reason that bull testicles (Rocky Mountain Oysters) are disgusting, but bull testicle juice is delicious.
Ha-ha!
Seriously: Making an overgeneralization like "Olives are disgusting" is like saying "Meat is disgusting."
While three-day-old, magot-infested roadkill may be retch-inducing, seared sirloin is definitely not disgusting.
And I'm sure there are people who find olives delicious, but olive oil unpalatable.
Regards,
It’s the darnest thing but everyone and I mean everyone that I know or ever heard of that ate a “healthy” diet has eventually died.
likewise in contrast my uncle ate a high fiber low fat diet his entire life - chicken, grains, veg and fruit.....very little red meats - no alcohol, no smoking, plenty of exersize......colon cancer @ 70.....only because he was afraid of a colonoscopy.
forgot to mention - I lost my best friend (37 yrs old) - hiker / non drinker / non smoker / athlete to a heart attack last year..he had no underlying issues
when your number is up - not much else will delay that
my son shunned all the right foods as a kid - he weighed in @ 230# - Im heavy myself (hypoglycemic) and discussed his pre diabetic health issues......I dont know what clicked, but he shed 60# and has been 3 yrs on a an incredibly healthy regimen.....he says that discussion terrified him into compliance.
all i did was lay out the complications of diabetes
