Good Morning!
I saw the prayer that jtill sent. I thought it was very good. The only caveat I would add is that even though we see many things wrong with this country, there are also wonderful things happening.
In our church we have begun open adoration of the Eucharist. (As Catholics we pray before the exposed blessed sacrament.) This is now a weekly occurrence. This hasn't been done in years, and the church is full of worshipers in the middle of the week!
We also have a reawakening of America's values with the surge of the Tea Party. Many families still go to church, work for each other, and donate to those who are in need of help.
The beauty of the earth continues to remind us of the handiwork of God. I took a walk outside this morning before sun up and viewed the Heavens in all their glory. A marvelous way to remember who made this all possible.
We have men and women who are serving valiantly and honorably in the Armed Forces. We now have in place Operation Freedom, where World War 2 veterans are flown, free, to the World War 2 Memorial. The crowds that see them off and welcome them back are heart rendering.
We have a long way to go, but there are many wonderful things to continue to be thankful for in this great country of ours.
Best of all... God still is in charge.
Blessings to you my dear friend, and the wonderful ones here that work and pray every day! You are the inspiration and hope for America!

You are one of those blessings!!!
We had a scare this week. Daughter Carolyn became very ill down in the Dominican Republic. They wanted to hospitalize her at first, but in the end they didn't. (kidney infection along with other complications.) She's on the mend and growing stronger. We are in touch with her daily. She's sleeping most of the time, but feeling better.
