Germans reportedly want leader to "send foreigners home"; over 58% say "religious practice for Muslims in Germany should be seriously limited."
Ten percent of Germans want a “Führer,” and one quarter are strongly xenophobic, according to a poll released on Wednesday, reported German news source The Local.
The poll, entitled “The mainstream in the crisis – Right-wing extremist attitudes in Germany,” was conducted by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation for Political Education.
Those who wanted a “Führer,” said that he should "govern with a strong hand for the good of Germany," and believed that dictatorship is a the preferred form of government.
More than 30% agreed with the statement "foreigners come to abuse the welfare state," and even more (31.7%) said that when unemployment is high, the government should "send foreigners back home."
Over 58% said "religious practice for Muslims in Germany should be seriously limited."
Older and less-educated Germans were more likely to be intolerant, according to the poll.
Study authors Oliver Decker and Elmar Brähler called their findings "an alarm signal for politics and society," The Local reported. Decker and Brähler also said that right-wing extremism increased during the current financial crisis.
Maybe we could send them Obama.

But they drag that to the top of the story to equate any concern with their country to NAzi-ism.
I bet there’s more than 10% here who would favor a dictatorship too, so long as Obama was the dictator.
In fact, that number would probably be near the %21 “strongly support” figure he usually garners.
Look at the bright side: this percentage could have been trending downwards since WWII for all we know.
Would the other European countries be upset? Or would they follow suit? Would America get involved?
I'm thinking that the old "never again" motto from WWII would be ignored and that the Muslim population of Europe would shrink dramatically while the world watched.

Being as “Führer” means Leader in German, and all.
Stands to reason. Have they ever had such a long period of peace before? It’s been 65 years since their last war and I imagine they’re getting kind of itchy.

With the Muslims, flame me, but the Muslims have been doing nthing but causing nonstop trouble with everyone around them. As for the rest of the world, the celebs would get hysterical, but I don’t think the rest of the world would care. Muslims are the ones picking the fights and NOT contributing so society. The majority of them are not getting jobs, assimilating, or making life easier for anyone around them.
Define which practices these are.
Childbrides? Jihad? Honor killings? Slavery? Animal sacrifice?
